Sian declared war on Fierce. What a perfect timing, now all his forces, which are not that strong anyway, will be on the other border

I am confuse. Any chance this is a fake war to get a 10 turn treaty? If we immediately declare as well, Fierce probably won't give peace.
Notice that axes on the NS7 border. Those cities are a buffer zone, they're choked by a ton of Egyptian culture. Part of me wants to take Sian's land and try to Make Something Happen, another part of me wants to take down the runaway(s).
This is their game to lose . Let's go out with a bang.

Well, here are the reasons why I strongly favour attacking Sian rather than NS7
1. NS7 have a tech advantage over us, including having Galleons
2. NS7 having Galleons is a good enough reason by itself. I remember what they did in PBEM19
3. NS7's power rating is much higher than ours; Sian and Fierce are at the same level as we were before we started to build 'phracts
4. If we open the diplo screen, we will see at least 4 deals with NS7, 2 or 3 are them providing resources to us for free. Our diplo with Sian consists of the ivory for 6 gpt deal + his aggressive settlement in our face

Yep, take Sian's land with uberphracts, hope the extra land makes us competitive, and hope NS7 doesn't turn around while we're distracted and start burning our cities lol.
Of course, considering Galleons, there's a good chance NS7 can burn either our core or our hypothetical new acquisitions. So, full speed ahead on the SS Wishful Thinking !

Sian sent a scouting Chariot to our land; I moved the phracts to the capital for now, so that it's not too obvious which way they're looking
How many do we want to start the war? I'm thinking of a dozen, but maybe it would be an overkill, considering his token defences on our border. We had 6 this turn, 3 more completed at EOT. We could start the war with 9 + a couple of Longbows for initial defence of captured cities + combat Workers for roading

OK. We have 9 'phracts, with 2 more completed EOT. There is no way I can hide them from Sian's scouting Chariot without closing borders. So I'd prefer him to see them in the capital, where it's not completely clear where they will go. Then move them to Adrianople next turn, and launch the assault. Our scouting Chariot will be able to recheck the defences in Mai Hime next turn, so we can delay the attack if we see an upgraded garrison there
To be honest, 11 'phracts at the start of the attack is less than I'd like. But I don't think we can delay further
In other news, Luddicator joined the war against Fierce, so we may not get any of his land. And Mackoti razed one of NS7's cities this turn - unbelievably, Mackoti almost caught up with them in score

Long time no see.
I still get the save in my inbox whenever Seven sends it. Took a peak at it... I think you should attack NS7 instead.
That is all.
I'm technicaly still dedlurking but this is the first time I check in on the game since the last time I posted. SO feel free to disregard! Just been so busy with life, and my own games that I haven't had time to follow this too. I am starting to see a bit of daylight though, so I thought I'd mention this.

Hehe, welcome back Lewwyn
I'll post the power graph in a bit, which should be a good explanation to why I think atttacking Sian is better

So, reason 1:
We're still much weaker than Mackoti and NS7. Yes, we have the best unit of the era, but it's not enough
Also, even if we manage to win a war against NS7, we will only get Mackoti as the new runaway. I don't want to help either of them, I want their war to be as long and inconclusive as possible
Reason 2:
We're getting 2 resources from NS7 for free. And they were willing to provide us horses for free when they weren't sure we have them (they don't appear on our resource list in diplo because of the trade with Luddicator). I think they earned the right to not be cataphracted

I won't play the first turn of the war with a sleepy head, so for now, here are two questions to consider
First, we caught Sian with pants down in Naruto
No defences, and our 'phract + Axe on the Galley can reach it this turn. Do we keep it or raze it?
Second, he adopted Slavery and started whipping Pikemen. Quite understandable Do we go ahead with the attack? We can expect 5 Pikes in Mai Hime next turn: 2 are there already, he can whip another, and move both from Air Gear. Plus there's a Pike in the capital, but he won't be able to reach Mai Hime in 1 turn. Do we launch the attack? 10 'phracts vs 5 Pikes, city on a hill, attacking across a river... it will be close, I guess. But it won't get better if we delay the attack
