[spoilers] Regoarrarr teams up with your mom

Speaking of economies a bit more, here's a beaker count:

Regoarrarr: 5831
Pindicator: 5779 (just finished CS and Machinery and bulbed Theology)
Gaspadore: 5090 (just bulbed Optics but also captured the Pyramids)
Sian: 4729 (on the way out - down to 3 cities)
Yuris125: 4123

Pindicator is planning on attacking Yuris125 with berserkers, which of course is a good thing for me. We had talked about me possibly funding his research to get CS / Machinery a bit earlier, but it turned out he was more production limited rather than gold limited, so we didn't do it.

He delayed his research a bit so he discovered CS and Machinery on T95 and 97, to hopefully provide less warning. I forget the exact composition of his attack force, but it's something along the lines of 15-20 zerks. Yuri does not have Metal Casting nor Machinery, so it will be awhile before he can counter zerks.

Gaspadore's power took a bit of a hit capturing the Pyramids city, so I'm actually right behind him in power (And Pindicator's power has spiked quite a bit so he's getting close to us as well). Sian and Yuri are both pretty far behind in power.

Literature last turn, Drama this turn, Music the next turn (or perhaps the turn after that)

My grab bag GP was a prophet, who has no better use than a golden age. The question is whether I do it now, or whether I wait. I'm also going to get the Music artist here shortly. I suppose the prophet is slightly more valuable given it could do a shrine. They'll both bulb Theology and Divine Right for the foreseeable future (I had visions of artist bulbing Nationalism but alas it is not to be)

I think I'll settle next turn on the marble. I was going to settle on the ivory but instead I think I'll settle on the marble (the better to snag TGLib). Then I can settle 1S of the ivory to work the clams (or maybe work the clams from a city on the southern island)

You have a shrine already?

Yeah - Temple of Solomon is up to I think 21gpt (times market). I do have the Hindu holy city also which would be worth a few coins, but I think a GA is probably more useful.

I'm really not sure why I haven't lived up to my reputation as a good updater in this game. Maybe it's due to the pretty fast pace of this game (usually 1 and often 2 turns in a day) - so I don't have a ton of time to plan, since most of my "Civ time" is spent, you know, actually PLAYING the turn lol

In any case, it is now T102

For someone who going into this game didn't want to build any wonders (and specifically did NOT pick Bismark because of it), I sure have built a lot of wonders.

That's 6, counting the Temple of Solomon and Moai Statues.

So what's the plan for now? I have the Music Great Artist (as well as a Great Prophet hanging around), so my plan is to use him to fire off a golden age, then revolt to Caste System and Pacifism. I know that I'm SPI, and I can revolt any time, but I wanted to sync up Pacifism with the golden age for max GP generation. Let's see how many GPs I can get in the 6 turns of GA. This map lends itself to lots of cities with lots of food.

Here are a few of the candidates.

I have a few other cities that have good surpluses, but most of them are under size 6 or 7, so I don't know that they have a whole lot of slots open. I may still run some scientists or merchants at some of them, or maybe some artists to pop borders in some of the newer cities where needed.

I'll do some analysis and planning of this when I get back from the store. I'm shooting for at least 4 or 5 GPs over the GA

Okay, so first of all - some ground rules. Each specialist generates 3 GPP/t, which will be multiplied by GA and Pacifism to 9 GPP/t. My next Great Person will show up at 201 GPP, and the next ones will be 268, 335, 402 and 469. I'm not PHI, nor do I have the National Epic up (cmon people I just got Literature like 5 turns ago! lol), so that will be the same in all my cities (well, all the ones in Judaism, which should be all the ones that matter for this analysis). a +2 food surplus feeds 1 great person, and of course I have some ability to run food deficits if/where needed.

So Fat, the capital, has +6 food, and so can run 3 specialists (at food neutral). It also has the 2 scientists from the Great Library, so it can run 5 specialists, plus it has the Hanging Gardens and Great Library. That's 57 GPP/t, and since it's currently at 117/201, that means it will get a GP in 2t (EOT104). Currently has 80/20 engineer points, but I'd imagine it will end up being pretty close to 50/50.

So Ugly is at Oracle + Temple of Solomon + can feed 3 specialists, which would be 36 GPP/t. It's currently at 40/201 GPP, since it just produced a prophet a few turns ago. I don't think it's likely to get a Great Person out this golden age.

So Dumb can run I believe 7 or maybe 8 specialists, which is 63 or 72 GPP/t. It's currently at 36/201. It does have one angry citizen, which should go away in 2t (plus I'm plantationing sugar, spices and silk in 4t). Goal would be to get the 268 GP out of here in 3t (EOT 105).

So Poor is at a 9fpt surplus and can run 5 specs at a slight deficit (or 6 at a slightly larger one - it has 15 food in the box). It's at 33/201 (picture is slightly off from real conditions), and so 6 specs would be 54 GPP/t. It can do the 335 GP in 5-6t.

So Skinny is my Moai city and so might be an option. I don't really want to pull any citizens off 2/2/3 Moai / Golden age tiles, but if I pulled workers off the grass hill and stone quarry, that would feed 3 specs, plus Moai and Paya, making 45 GPP/t. It's my city that has currently at 87/201, 2nd most GPP accumulated. If it came before So Dumb in the turn order, I think I could get the 268 GP out of here in 3t before So Dumb produced one, but as it stands, I think I can only get one out of So Poor OR So Skinny.

So that's 3 GPs, and I think my only chance for a 4th one would be to let So Dumb try to get another one. If So Dumb gets the 268 GP in 3t, and does 72 GPP/t for 6 turns, that would make it 36 + (72 * 6) - 268 at the end of 6t. That's only 200 GP, and it needs 402.

So what can we bulb.

Scientist: Sci Meth, Education, Printing Press, Alphabet, Philosophy, Optics, Paper, Astronomy
Engineer: Machinery, Engineering, Construction
Merchant: Alphabet, Paper, Guilds, Printing Press

frown - these aren't very useful at all. That's a lot of things I need to clear before I can bulb Astronomy. That and Communism are the techs I really want on this game. Maybe I can use this GA to get ready to bulb up to Education, Printing Press (Alphabet and Machinery), then research Philosophy and Optics, use the next GA to bulb Astro and Sci Meth and then take Communism with Liberalism.

Okay that's kind of a plan.

In global news, unless Pindicator is planning on brutally stabbing me (seems unlikely), he is going to take a big chunk out of Yuris this turn. Hopefully he's got more details in his thread, but he told me he should take 3 cities this turn.

Who will get stabbed by you after your great plan to nab comunism will be succesfull?

Btw great plan.
