If you like that, you should see her ganks...

I've actually had some success jungling Twitch.

Krill and I played a pair of 5man non-ranked double jungle Soraka games versus randoms yesterday. Somehow we actually won both games. Soraka can stay alive and clear the jungle fine, but she isn't fast and her ganks are terrible. Still it was pretty darn funny to have won jungle Soraka games at all wink

Stonewall has Soraka as a tier 2 (out of 5) jungler right now.

I mean this with a completely open mind - what does she do? She can periodically walk to your carries and give them HP and mana (though that slows her jungle down), but what she does anyways in lane. She can of course survive in the jungle, but what are you gaining? A gank with a silence + banana + starcall?

Stonewall doesn't rate junglers as jungle "picks". He just rates them according to their proficiency in various abilities (kind of like Rainbow Dash in May The Best Pet Win) and figures out who should be the highest tier based on who scores the highest in each.

Soraka has sustain in the jungle, decent clearing speed, doesn't need any items at all (which means her transition from the jungle is very strong and she doesn't need to get fed to have an impact on the mid-game) and a global ultimate which lets her farm the jungle and still help her teammates out. She has little to no ganking ability but she isn't picked for that. The tier 1 champions just do what she does but better.

While I also think that putting Soraka over even Fiddlesticks or Warwick (both got shafted quite hard but still) is kind of silly, Stonewall has his own criteria and his tier list shouldn't be viewed in terms of jungle picks. With all their shortcomings so imminent in the light of the new jungle, it's still pretty obvious that you're more likely to carry or have an impact on the game with a Warwick or Fiddle jungle than a Soraka.

Dunno. If you can get 2 items, Rylais and Frozen Heart, costing about 6K gold then you basically have everything you need mid game to be a pretty solid tank with good utility.

She's a mediocre ganker but once she gets going, Soraka can farm in the jungle all day at full health, invade easily, while maintaining a global presence with her ult.

I wouldn't build Frozen Heart on her until fourth-til-never. She has plenty of armor on her heal and the item doesn't help her jungle clear or ganking. Rushing Frozen Heart ensures she's irrelevant in teamfights. Sure she can tank but there's no reason to focus her. This is like the classic rushing FON on Mordekaiser.

I would go WOTA->Rylai's and then either build AP, armor, or MR to taste and enemy comp. One or a couple of Deathcap, Abyssal, and Aegis.

She's no carry jungle but she would work will with some comps where ganking isn't the highest priority. It will never be a 'competitive' pick though. And honestly I think her biggest weakness is the inflexibility of her first pass through the jungle. Just like Amumu she is screwed if you can keep her from getting blue at the start.

Wouldn't rush FH, but the glacial shroud gives you mana, which you will run out of if you don't return to base and you shouldn't really have to, armour which you do need a little of, and most importantly cool down reduction, which does increase your damage from your Q and shreds MR faster so your AP carry can do a lot more damage. Very true about that inflexibility though. I agree with the rest of the build though.

I suppose if you are ganking lanes with an assassin with a stun it might work since she can prevent flashes with stun, but I don't see how she'd have enough damage. Sure she can make it hard for them to kill one of you with her heal buff, but she does so little damage. As a counterjungler though, that could be at the very least novelty level cool.
