I think things are pretty straightforward unless something unexpected has come up. But since we're locked into peace with virtually every other civ then i think we're okay.
OK, I'll probably play it this afternoon then. And i'll offer the map swap to Yuri.

NoSpace demanded all the cities we took from Fierce this turn. Looks like they're coming after us after all. I finished guilds since we have 21 HAs already, more than enough to try to upgrade.
So we'll build up our knights and then either mackoti lets us pass or we attack mackoti. I like tying a city gift to open borders, that may make him open to it.
6 more turns of forced peace.

Actually, have we tried offering just straight open borders to mackoti yet? He might do it just for the trade routes.

Hey, that's not a bad idea!
Gifting also entails forced peace, right? Could we gift him something like a city or gold after getting open borders to ensure he doesnt stab while we go after nospace? Consequently we shouldnt gift until we are sure we're going after nospace and not mackoti.

Gifting in peace doesn't create a peace treaty between human players. With an AI it works if they demanded it, but if you offer it yourself it never occurs.

OK I played the turn. I offered straight open borders to Mackoti. Otherwise not much going on- just a lot of whipping. We finished 11 knights this turn and construction.

We need to figure out some logistics for the war. Where do we want to stage our troops? Are we going to attack with one big wave and then use future production to defend what territory we'll have left, or would it be better to get together a second wave to follow up?
Also, do we want to peg down who we're attacking or leave it to chance? I'm more for leaving it for chance: if nospace attacks then we bring the knights overland to him. If he doesn't then we go after mackoti. Either way we may "lose" but it will be fun to go out with a bang

Well, if mackoti won't give us open borders, then it's pretty simple. We have no choice but to attack him!
If he does, I think we should stage all our troops inside his territory, so he'll see what we're doing and (hopefully) join us.
I think we should just continually pump units and let the flow of new units defend cities on the way.

We're into final preparations for the war now. Mackoti gave us open borders, and loaned us 300 gold for 50 gpt, so we're attacking NoSpace. We'll move up our units next turn.
With the 300 gold from mackoti, plus 700 from our great merchant, we were able to upgrade 10 horse archers (and 1 chariot) into knights. Then, I used our great general to get an extra promo on 6 knights, and upgrade another chariot for free:
We'll be attacking with 39 knights, 7 impis, 10 horse archers, and 2 chariots. I like the image of a hopeless attack from the south being led by Robert E. Lee, too.
Also, Mackoti gifted us a galleon! We can make good use of that. I'm going to make forts inside our territory, so that we can sneak it east, and hopefully catch that island city of theirs still undefended.
