I have been playing with new Jax and he feels strong but it seems like you are going to have to build him quite a bit differently now.

Old Jax got a lot of free defences. He used to get free Hp from offensive stats, attack damage mitigation and magic damage mitigation, which meant that you could build almost exclusively offensive items and remain tanky. He also got a really large attack speed steroid

New Jax doesn't get any free Hp or magic resist and only gets Ad mitigation for 1.5 seconds. On the plus side he gets pretty much the largest offensive stat steroid in the game (more than a gunblade worth of stats at level 3 ult) and his attack speed steroid is still there albeit lessened.

So the question is do you build him in the same way and treat him as a glass cannon assassin as he will have a ridiculous amount of Ad and Ap whilst ulting? Or do you instead build wriggles - triforce - atma's etc like 20 other tanky dps champions?

Probably the tanky route, glass cannon is fun as always but ineffective if you're not way ahead in terms of levels/items.

I noticed Jax gets blown up by casters a lot more easily now. I think he needs to build some defence to be useful in teamfights
