Turn 7:
Not much interesting (notice a pattern? ), cap's borders popped, scouts moving red->pink.
The land next to my east isn't great. There's a lot of green, but few resources and no water. Past that it gets real gross, with desert and peak land. Gotta love that Rocky climate!

So yes you would need a lot of beaker production to get even 1 additional beaker. But the known civ bonus also factors in with the 1.2x prerequisite bonus (whether additive or multiplicative, I can never remember), so on AH or BW, you could get an extra beaker sooner.
IIRC (NOT a given) both the pre-req and the known civs bonuses are calculated and truncated separately....but the next time I'm wrong on a Civ game mechanic won't be the first time I've been wrong on Civ mechanics.

Seamless photo editing folks:
The scout movements are pretty obvious
Mining is in when the turn rolls. Feel free to chime in if you have any advice about Animal Husbandry vs Bronze Working!

You are an editing genius.
As for AH vs. BW, my advice is to pop one or both of them from huts.

And to regoarrarr myself (I mean I AM regoarrarr after all), it looks like you did at least pop something from a tech (from civstats). So what was it?

Sadly it was, I think, the only available tech which according to my current map visibility benefits in no direct way whatsoever
