Our happy cap is 6, but we still have to connect the gold, can improve the ivory and finally build a monument after Mysticism. That's a lot of possible growth.
We can 3 pop whip a settler, yes. But I don't think that's needed. And my previous strategy semms lacking too. How about this:
*Next turn we get 11 (normal production) + 20 (chop) into a granary, that will need 4 hammers to complete. So 27h overflow. We put this into a settler next turn, plus the normal production (11h + 7 food), leading to 46 of 100 hammers. Then we two pop whip the settler, going to size 4 and working all the specials.
Then we grow to 5 quickly (helped by the granary) while building an axeman or something and we build a worker at size 5, avoiding growth. How does that sound? It'll be pretty quick and we will still work all our good tiles.

You do know that the granary won't help you grow to size 5, only grow to size 6?

Does it take into account the food we spend on the 2 turns building the settler? If I'm not mistaken, we will receive at least some food from the turn the granary completed (I think I read this in a thread by SevenSpirits and Novice, so it's reliable enough - only possible mistake is if I misunderstood what they said), it'll be recorded in the granary food box.
But we will grow soon enough, with or without granary, anyway. Yeah, that's my level of micromanagement. Just guess things and hope they are indeed true.

So, we are in pretty much a food-free zone:

I'm hoping we're the ones who built the Great Wall?

It seems to me that we should be researching Iron Working and Calendar, since the bananas are the best nearby food resource we have. We could work bananas and (dry) rice by building 4S of the copper, and bananas and sugar by building 1E of the site I proposed to sunrise.
Do we have a long-term plan? The discussion in this thread has kind of petered out, and Ichabod is just playing along.

Yeah, sorry, one of my games has suddenly become much more "interesting", which means I haven't been able to give a lot of thought to this game...
