At what level can I reasonably expect to be entering both Nightmare and Hell? I've got them for single player, but I'm sure the extra experience pushes it a bit further. I would hate to shame myself by not having the requisite skills developed in time

That sounds good..
To clarify I'll be a blue
Fireball primary, Hydra secondary--I may play around with some of the other fire skills if there's extra points. Not being able to pump both of hydra's synergies means it's not killing anything in hell, but that's ok--my rogue's gaurdians never killed anything either That's what arrows are for.
Dibs on the first witherstring I might try making it through without upgrading that guy if the enchant damage is decent, just so I don't have to mess with more arrows---Who's going to be our fletcher?
Sounds fun.

True. So I'll put you down as "listening only" for now.
The best headphones for gaming (in my opinion) are very lightweight, loosely fitting headphones, as opposed to super duper mega-sound-quality types. I'm used to wearing headphones because sound is SO important in Descent. h34r: Wearing headphones all day is not unheard of for me, but I couldn't do that with bulky headphones or anything that squeezes my head.

Well there will be space available early on Thursdays as a couple of the guys will be late arriving on that day. Not sure how often we'll actually be missing people, though. If you are content to play more solo than in the group, though, I don't see any problem. If Mondays are out for you, you'd be doomed to that anyway. If you're taking up a regular spot and late arrivals show up, you will need to vacate post-haste, and we will have to work out messaging/communication to make these transitions go smoothly for all.

Level 35-36 for Nightmare. Might be a wee bit higher, but don't count on it. If you miss any time, or spend any time in town (Jaffa is an amazing combat machine. He is like the Energizer Bunny, and he don't need no steeking town visits so expect him to be a couple levels ahead of the rest of us by mid-NM! ... then you may not get the full experience.
As for Hell... If we don't repeat areas, that will probably be around 65-70ish. Experience is a lot stronger in acts 1-2 under the new patch, in NM and Hell. Also we will have to see how we are doing with the mlvl curve. If we are struggling, we might level up a bit with some repeats. That's NOT the plan going in, but let's call that Plan B. Figure you've got to clvl 65, which means 72 skill points available (64 from levels, 8 from quests) to make your Hell prereqs.

No name tags, if that's what you're asking. As far as names go... whatever you like. Whatever types of names you used to name your D1 Rogues (or would have if you had played D1).
Might need some backup names, though, or willingness to add junk characters. This being Realms, a lot of names are already taken.

The time has come the walrus said,
To talk of many things.
Of headphones and teamspeak,
And greasy onion rings.
After PlanetSide and Lineage2, I have a LOT of experience on the headphone side of teamspeak.
Unsolicited advice:
Teamspeak is capable of using a completely different sound stream than the game. If you have onboard sound that is disabled so your games route through an Audigy/Revo/etc, you can enable the onboard sound and plug a cheapo headset into the mobo sound and set teamspeak to use it. If you are using the mobo sound (or have no extras), you can buy a usb headset that is its own sound device (plantronics dsp et al). That way, the game sounds do their normal stuff over your speakers, and team comm goes straight to your ears and off your mike. The game sounds donât really intrude that badly on a headset (as opposed to a free-standing mike). If you are separated from the rest of the team, it is FUN to hear the faint sounds of the game behind the voice, as you can tell what is up with them.
This is WAY cool in PlanetSide where you have a comm headset to talk to the rest of your squad while battle sounds engulf you in glorious 3-D sound, useful in Lineage2 where you can chat about your love life and still hear the monster sounds, and marginally useful in D2, where no one wants to listen to Cain anymore, anyways, so it isnât that big a deal. âGood dayâ [stfu you useless old man].
Multiple sound devices were BAAAAAAD mojo before XP. I havenât had any problems with it since. So if you have XP and the devices, give it a shot.
The best greasy onion rings are from the Varsity in Atlanta and Athens.
Go Dawgs! Sic âem. Woof woof woof woof woof.

Sorry I may not be able to make this one, the laughs could be spectacular.

I think I'll go with Lightning/Chain.
My initial thought was Fireball, since it was a favorite of my D1 Rogues. Indeed, I was notorious for roasting my party with them--I always forgot to factor in splash damage :o
Of course I was ALSO notorious for my friendly fire with a bow (Woody refused to co-op with me unless I went sword/shield :war: ), sooooo ....
My other absolute favorite was chain. Yes, I used chain in a co-op, friendly-fire-enabled environment. What? Why is everyone staring at me? Of course, there is a RIGHT way to use chain in co-op D1, with surgical precision a la KOP, then there was MY way, which had a lot of desperation mixed in as I was normally trying to recover from the ill effects of an unfortunate blind hop.
The idea of blind-hopping and lightning again is irresistable to me.

You enjoy this rube pretense, don't you? Come now, other people might not know you are just being modest but Charis and I know better. Especially when we played Ironman when I usually ended up playing "save the day if everyone dies but dont do much otherwise" mage, I have time to watch you guys work You are especially good at crisis control and specialized in "lets blow this popsicle stand" maneuver. I was often amzed how you got away from the messes we got in when I could swear there was no way out. Were you hold out on me all dem teleport books you found in IM games?
