I have a rifle in Maurice Levy, but not yet Omar. I had been under the impression I would be getting most of the rifles from WK and you since you guys can draft while I should build cannons, but I've only gotten one rifle so far.
Don't have a defender for the wines city, but also don't feel a huge need for one.

All of the Rifles I build are en route to the invasion stack up north. dave suggested I keep all of my units since I get IMP bonus. If you want a couple gifted for defense just say the word.

Yeah a couple probably makes sense. Depending on how many you have moving up, I'd say like 3 in Maurice Levy and 2 in Omar would probably be smart at least to start.

Omar has fallen:
Allied Losses
5 Cannon
3 Catapults
5 Knights
5 Musketeers
1 Musketmen
2 Pikemen
1 Longbow
Team #2 Losses
10 Catapults
4 Cho-Ko-Nus
2 Musketmen
1 Jannisary
Pretty serious setback here. Most of these forces were slotted for Sledgehammer. Particularly bad is the loss of the cannon, which we can never have too much of.
My best guess is that Lewwyn knows which way the wind is blowing, and made this attack to try to cut down some of our invasion force. This battle probably also helped him with unit maintenance costs, which are sure to be exorbitant with the sheer number of units he's fielding. Pity we didn't think to cash-upgrade a few of the muskets into rifles, they probably could have made a dramatic difference.
At any rate, Bird is not under threat, and I doubt Lewwyn will push further south - he's accomplished his goal. A battle like this just means dragging every last spare unit into the fight and dedicating every resource to the success of Sledgehammer all the more important.

I think you need a better name than Sledgehammer. Maybe Guillotine? You're trying to cut off the head of a CV attempt?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Operation: Elgin?
After the two historical furores concerning the Elgin family, the systematic looting of Greek cultural treasures and the razing of the Summer Palace in China, I think it's quite a good title for an operation meant to smash the culture of an opponent.

May I ask what exactly is with the "T-Hawk" log ins? And more specifically why there appears to be a whip/draft by T-Hawk.

Just for the hell of it.
I whipped France, not India. I just logged in as India to check out the damage.
