I guess I don't understand why they wouldn't be bringing some siege support? At least bring some cannons to take down the city cultural defense. Admittedly those will slow down the tanks, but it still would be a lot faster than waiting to have a million hammers worth of tanks so that you can ignore all losses.

I mean, if it's to attack an isolated city defended by just 1 or 2 rifleman then i could understand sending only CR3 tanks to attack it. But for a full-scale invasion it seems overconfident and inefficient.

Assuming ASM math is not off and team 2 does that do anything stupid (those are pretty big things to assume). Team 2 will win. Team 3 will not be able to block enough tiles to delay Lewwyn at all. He will get that extra artist that will more that compinsite for the blocked tiles. Team 3 will only get one attack in and that is not enough.

Cho-ko-nus have a collateral limit of 60% and 5 units. Where does that fall in terms of usefulness? A machine gun at 40% health is still 7.2 strength plus defensive terrain bonuses, can Team 2 profitably attack that?

Don't forget that the collateral limit gets modified by the strength difference between the units. So actually, the CKN can only bring the MG down to about 13 strength. However, with 2 first strikes they can also do a surprising amount of damage to the MGs despite the massive strength difference.

I still think the best strategy is to just sit and wait in Beijing, but it's not totally impossible to attack out at a stack of 20 MGs.
edit: well, Dave just posted saying they're going to have 30 MGs and 50 cannons. I really don't think Lewwyn has enough CKN's to punch through all of that. But they should only need to defend Beijing for 1 or 2 turns...

I have doubts on this logic. Assuming, he is running one less artist each turn, This city gets 1st artist on 183, 2nd on 188 and 3rd on 196. Is he running artists in some other city?

I think the ciy that is being starved stops starving at size 11 and just works the 4 food tiles and the rest artists: it should pop out that last artist a bit quicker maybe?

Curious if the plunge in team 2's food production will be enough to make Team 1 reconsider their dismissal of the CV under their incorrect game mechanics knowledge.
