He has plenty of reason, namely team 2's continued pursuit of it.
Selrahc Wrote:Can we ask team 2 if they mind?
My initial reaction to this was: briliant! However the problem is now you've tipped team 2 off to the fact that team 1 isn't a serious threat and they can focus on defending against team 3.

"It has come to our attention that one or more of the other teams believes that a CV is only possible when the 3 legendary cities belong to one civ. The team(s) in question even tested this out, but because of the obscure fact that the victory check does not occur for the first X turns (is it 5 or 10?), they assumed the victory was not possible."
And ask them if they mind correcting their mistake on this obscure fact? Once again, people are not idiots. T3 is planning to invade them, who else is there? Once again might as well ask straight away and inform that T1 is not a threat.

Goodness...the posts are coming so fast that by the time I thought out my reply SIX had happened, including this one making my point for me .

No, because I don't think it's occurred to him that we might be doing that. He still thinks that all the culture cities are going to be in India and that we just microed it horribly.

They're invading without even bothering to check team2's power, and don't think it's strange to have one city with 12k culture and another with just 3k. As far as I can tell, their working assumption is that we're complete idiots. I don't understand why people are bringing up arrogance here. Is there any way for Spulla to check for T2 power without significant time investment, considering other team has been pouring all their EP on them from the start? Considering tech superiority, I consider their 'probe' more legit than some of other questionable invasions that took place in past games. Moreover, they dismiss the strangeness of your former teams behaviour because of their misunderstanding. I believe it is not right for the lurker to take initiative on affecting the game, but it has nothing to do with the personages.

By the way... I'm PRETTY sure team 1 can't do anything right now to stop the CV. All I can think of is quickly researching mil science and then using a GG to make a commando cavalry (if they even have a GG).

We might be able to frame something like: "Is it ok to clarify game mechanics for team 2 or other teams?"
Don't what we would say, if he says yes
