I think I need to point out that the TAG doesn't matter one bit! Unless you are planning on running around with the "phantom guild's" capes for some reason, nobody is ever going to *see* the tag in the first place. The only function the name of the phantom guild even serves is as a name for the Alliance. The tag can be [abcd] for all it matters.

So, don't worry about the tag. That's another reason I didn't bother making up tags for the few names I submitted.

I'm going to lodge a small disagreement there Sciros.

This experiment, once it gets up and running, will undoubtedly be begging for a mention on GWW and for that reason alone I think it's worth properly fleshing out all aspects of the linking guild. The best case senario is that we might even be able to add some weight to points of debate for updating the way guilds are structured for Guild Wars 2. So we might as well aim high.

Ardent Kinsmen of Ascalon [AKA]

I kinda like the AKA tag. Since we're trying to not identify any of the founding guilds in the name and trying to promote some type of "equality" among the guilds.

So its kind of like saying we're the Ardent Kinsmen of Ascalon...also known as RB, Arch, FAIL, etc.

It was just a thought that popped into my head and I liked the AKA thing, so if anyone can come up with better words to match it, that'd be cool.

Otherwise I have no other ideas. 8)

Ok, I think we have a list! A rather long one at that.

I've been getting a sense that we've about hit capacity with the naming suggestions. People want resolution. I'd like to see resolution. By the looks of things the suggestions have slowed to a trickle and we look about due to finalize our short list and make a decision. To that end let us cap the long list from getting any longer and finalize the short list for the vote.

Or not? If people want to keep at it and add still more names, speak soon or forever hold your peace.

So here's the big question: Are there any of the names in the long list that you still think are competitive? If so, add your voice to the support and it will be added to the short list. We'll be looking at narrowing the field if the short list grows, so make those supportive comments count!

It's time to narrow the game. 8)

I mean, not to jump on Sci's bandwagon but the names he's come up with are really the only others I like a whole lot. But, Ardent Kinsmen of Ascalon is a good GW-y name that makes me happy, too. And since I'm ok with jumping on Seijin's bandwagon, ... that the one that gets my vote. I would like having Ascalon in our name.
