This seems like the appropriate place for your traditional "End Turn."

The city naming scheme is French military defeats, we can't go naming the one spectacularly failed attack Team 3 makes after yet another defeat--we have to name it after a French victory! And what better 'victory' than the meat-grinder of WWI, Verdun. NobleHelium Wrote:I don't think anyone actually remembers WW1 battle names because they were all the same. History major side just died a little bit. ![]() At any rate, this turn was an absolute slaughter. Me and WK just sent everything in - suiciding the army we spend the last couple dozen turns building against Lewwyn's defenses. The task force that embarked on this invasion is now just a shell of it's former self. There was very little method to our madness. We just took the healthiest units, sent them in to die, and kept going until we went through everything we had. I would like to point out, that had we unlimited time, we would not have suffered anywhere near these casualties. We would have taken all the good odds battles we got this turn, let the rest of our units heal courtesy of our supermedic, all the while allowing reinforcements to come up. Taking a more measured approach to the siege, we would have prevailed and captured the city sometime between t193 and t195, depending on what Lewwyn did. At any rate, after the battle, it occurred to me I should have taken a few musketeers to attack and raze the city of Najing. ![]() I think I might go play some ETW, just to remind myself I'm not a horrible tactician - start to atone for all the virtual blood now on my hands. scooter Wrote:This seems like the appropriate place for your traditional "End Turn." You know if your theme is French military defeats... surely Waterloo is the most appropriate here?
And by random coincidence, waterbat won the guessing game...
They already have a city named Waterloo though.
