next time I see it - I will post an update. Game is taking 5 or more days to cycle back to me and there are only 3 players ... 2 of which are quick

My last update was 13 turns ago ... here is a quick summary of what has transpired ...

• Calanthian took a border city (Fortress) that looked into his land but had food on my side

• It is now stacked with 6xDrill III Machine Gunners

• I am aiming for sea domination - that means killing his coastal cities

Espionage - I just got the free great spy ... he is going on a massive tour of Calanthian's land

I've been teching like a normal person (ie beakers) for a while now. Calanthian has been a few military techs up on me (infantry / factories, electricity) and he just finished Industrialism (Tanks). While that has been happening, most of my cities have been finishing off the Espionage buildings.

My current beaker output at max is a touch over 1400. My current espionage output at max is a touch over 2000.

I finished Assemble Line this turn (Infantry / Factories available to build next turn) and I also stole Electricity with a 0% spy stationary discount (you have to love it that -40% and +45% turn out to be -13% ).



Calanthian hasn't run an anti-spy mission against me for a while and I am actually making beakers at 0% discount. I can tech electricity in about 3.8ish turns while I can gather 7000EPs in just under 3.5 turns. If Calanthian does run the anti-spy mission, I will have to wait 5 turns before EP comes out in front.

I currently have two Great Spies on a Calanthian tour - it really sucks that normal spies get the Commando promotion while Great Spies do not ... they only move 2 tiles per turn ... normal spies can move 10 tiles (thanks to Calanthian's rails).

We have also entered the era of destroyers and we had some fun with them ... he killed one of my and destroyed my nets ... and then blockaded ... so ...

I also completed The Kremlin last turn. Next up is to see if I have enough EPs to steal Industrialism (might burn 1 or both of my Great Spies) ... so that he and I can field tanks at roughly the same time. Or ... I might wait a few turns while my cities churn out factories before I steal it.

I have some airships at the front lines so I can light up his territory near my borders to see what units he has there. That doesn't stop him parking them with rail enhanced distance of a border strike. I will upgrade my defenses of my Border city.

Wall St is also up and running in my Holy City (+32g) / Creative Construction (+40g) - that is really helping. Corp spread continues. I looked into civic and religion swaps (super cheap at 450EPs a pop) but I don't want to give him that idea until I have landed the Cristo Redentor.

Anything new here? I'm curious to know if you've converted Calanthian into a believer of the ban civic / religion swap missions yet. Post-Cristo I suppose it's worth it for you to sacrifice 20% of your turns in crappy civics to ensure he is permanently outside of his preferred civics. That's if you want to be particularly mean to him (but hey, in this particular game obviously nothing is out of bounds, so go for it!)
