A Priest was automatically hired by the governor, so it shows 5 GPP gain. No turns have elapsed with the Priest actually being worked, so the probability display still says 100% Engineer.

Ah, that makes sense. Guess we'll still be needing that forge.
Also: I just realized that after Avelorn finishes its forge next turn, it'll have higher production than Kwythellar, even with the God-King bonus. So let's build the Tower in Avelorn, and Order stuff in Kwythellar. Commodore, you can send that crusader to the front lines after all .

Hah, well and good. And, um, about those front lines...they're a bit...closer than they were. I know we'd rather have Confessors -> Paladins, but I wonder if it might be wiser to hold back enough money to upgrade two crusaders in a pinch. That's a lot of incoming crap.

@Hidingkneel
None of your pictures have shown up for me the past few days.
I use firefox, that might be at fault?

They're also not showing up in IE (I know, feel free to mock me like my son does), although they did show up earlier. Maybe HK is over quota on number of views?
Edit: after posting this, I refreshed one of the pictures and it appeared. So, amend "not showing up" to "sometimes not showing up".

Yeah, that's a good idea. If that pinch happens, we'll get some XP on said Paladins right quick anyway, no need to wait for passive XP to kick in . I'd buy the forge regardless, just let a few more turns pass without funding any Kurio research.
And...build some units . Add a bunch of axes to our lands, and they're much more firmly 'ours'.
In other thoughts: HK, we need a military road network to the new Mercurian cities soonest. Along with the missionaries to give those cities cultural control, of course, and garrisons, but those latter two will be Mercurian responsibility.
And, totally off subject: Commodore, I've no idea how much you'll need to cut back when your baby arrives. If this is a game you want/need to cut, I'm happy to step in and guide the Mercurians for a while. If it's not, I'm happy to continue telling both of you what you should be doing without taking responsibility :neenernee

Heh, yeah, I'll need to filling-in soon, I'll let you know when I'm off on paternity leave. I feel like there's not a ton to do at the moment, micro-wise though. Lack of slavery means no whip micro, and lack of workers means that dance is also kind of null.

Hey Commodore, didn't know you were expecting. Congrats .
So, another turn rolled in. The blood hasn't started flowing yet, but it's due shortly.
First, it looks like Plako had the same idea we did:
If we capture that territory, can we make use of that metamagic node without sorcery?
He's got a lot of units around there, but none of them are terribly strong. Those puppets keep charming us, though, which could be very annoying.
(Does loyalty help with that?)
Over in the east, Ilios is looking a lot more threatening:
Those 3-movers can hit Nantosuelta Inn next turn, so I moved a bunch more centaurs into the city. It should hold for the time being, but I expect Ilios can muster a lot more reinforcements than we can. Let's get some disposable Mercurian troops over there ASAP. I'll get the road network in place.
Prophet bad! Engineer good!
Let's get that forge built ASAP. And I can give you more gold for upgrades, if needed.
Divination in at EOT. Kwythellar produced an adept, and will build another one next turn (if I have enough overflow). Avelorn finished its forge. I'll grab a third inn there, then get started on the tower of Divination. Tech set to hunting. Naggarond will finish its stonewarden next turn, build a lodge, and then hawks.

No, but. Plako has arcane lore, and is in OO - I checked, and he has Mind Stapling as well. So we can expect Hemah any turn now. A Balseraph Hemah, of course, can learn Dominate pretty early, and cast it through puppets. I would put a high priority on having one of the new adepts learn Loyalty and start casting it on our whole army. Probably can wait until our own Mind node is built, but make sure to keep a promotion.
As for the meta node: I think we can use it even without Sorcery, yes. But I wouldn't delay Hawks for that. And of course without Sorcery it's only good for Floating Eye, not Dispel.
A fairly random thought I had: Eurabatres, although he's awesome at Str 23, can still die to a four-pack of Beasts when he's first born. Might even have losing odds on against Hyborem, if Big H has enough promotions by then. So we should definitely send our dragon to lesser fronts first, to pick up some XP, before he tries to break Bob. Fortunately, we've got quite a selection: Thoth is obvious, or 'a lot of units that aren't strong' suggest that plako could make a good draconic training ground as well.
Oh, and did you see that tech thread post? Apparently Bob took one of the Lanun cities by Whisper; it's the one we abandoned to the barbs, actually. It'll be interesting to find out if Thoth can retake it.

Looks like Bob isn't airlifting in anything to defend it, sensibly. I think he hates us more. Actually, I killed a puppet near SS...I think, um, everyone hates us more.
On the plus side, if we'd rather cut out the middleman, I can just build us a paladin force by hand in a jiffy. But seriously, we're in massive trouble, we need to kick ass and take names in at least one vector or another ASAP.
