You guys want screenshots of anything? It's turn 64. Very fun game, though a lot of that is i'm usually chatting to Mack as we're playing the turns.

To be honest, Mack did whip very heavily the turn before. As a general rule, he has a slight lead in food, i have a slight lead in mfg and i have an enormous lead in GNP.

Pyramids remain unbuilt and i'm pretty sure Mack will get them as he has had access to stone for a lot longer than I have. I ruined his micro with my starting warrior and convinced him to sign a NAP til turn 60. I used that to REX without any military whatsoever. I built oracle, beating mack by, according to him, a few turns, and got currency. Mack got curious and wanted to know what I used oracle for. I agree to tell him in exchange for an extended NAP til turn 80.

Mack used this NAP to place a city well into 'my half' of the land claiming FOUR corn. I have that city surrounded on each side now. That's the story in a nutshell so far.

Mackoti is victorious.

Strange map. Land was all barren with jungle and peaks in the caps. The centre was 4 corn and riverside forested grassland besides. Mack wisely used the NAP to settle over my side of the map and snaffle the entire wonderland. He used his crazy food potential to grab a great artist and bombed me out. I had more cities all the way though but all land cept the middle was useless. I honoured the NAP knowing it would kill me and tried to culturally pressure him with stonehenge to no avail.

Congrats mate.

By the way... this is one of the funniest posts I've ever read. Makes up for the lack of reporting.

He used the NAP well. He was behind going into it. I didn't put any land settlement clause in (in fact, I had a settler in the region first but thought Mack may have taken it as a NAPstab) which was an oversight on my part. Mack spotted the obvious loophole and assumed it was there for me to exploit so grabbed all the middle for himself. My own fault for a) not doing the NAP right and b) not putting enough faith in Mack.

T'was a great duel though. Especially up until that point. After seeing that city settled (shortly before the previous screenshot), I lost some enthusiasm. He had 75% of the map's decent land, although I had more total. One thing i've learned about Mack is, unlike most players here, he's always at 100%. I tend to start 100%, gain a lead and then coast. Mack is more relentless.
