Not sure what to say - save8 corresponds to the last savegame entry, no?
Can you tell me which game you have, so I can cross reference?
My mistake, I have Tlaloc now.
I'll take a look - see if I can reproduce, and perhaps get some extra information. Edit1: Good. I can reproduce your problem. Edit2: I can see what happened with the tweaker: Tlaloc's mana jumped to -32768 exactly, after which he did not do anything anymore. With the tweaker I set his mana back to 30000, after which he recoved and was not defeated but only banished! Now to find why his mana jumped to that particular figure... Edit3: For reference, I've tried it with vanilla. Turns out that Tlaloc does not cast any spells, so that has certainly improved in Insecticide. At the end he still has 30000 mana, so the bug does not manifest (at least not in this way). And he is only banished.

I like Serena Wrote:My mistake, I have Tlaloc now.Great. Of course, until this bug is fixed, it is a much bigger problem than vanilla - defeating wizards is a huge advantage. Has anyone else had this problem?
More bugs -
-Guardian wind and Magic Immunity cannot be dispelled in combat. If they are dispelled, the enchantment still works. -This has probably been talked about before but non-charismatic wizards rarely attract heroes. With 200 Fame I haven't been offered a hero in 40-50 turns - in my most recent game I have two heroes, one of which I found in a lair. I did get offered two items and three sets of mercenaries. Even if this is not a bug, a wizard with 50+ fame should be offered something every other turn - I find games with heroes are much more interesting than those without : ) Aureustgo Wrote:Of course, until this bug is fixed, it is a much bigger problem than vanilla - defeating wizards is a huge advantage. Has anyone else had this problem? Sometimes I've seen that an enemy wizard does not do anything... it irritates me, so I don't mind figuring out how to fix it. Btw, Tlaloc's mana flipped right after he cast a disenchant area. Did you have that too? I know Kyrub has been fixing disenchant problems... Aureustgo Wrote:-Guardian wind and Magic Immunity cannot be dispelled in combat. If they are dispelled, the enchantment still works. I know that the problem with dispelling guardian wind already exists in vanilla. Actually, I thought Kyrub had fixed it - apparently not. It's actually less, because not all heroes are presentable (notably Elana, Roland, Ravashak, and the Black Knight). I think 40-50 turns would fall within the realm of plain bad luck... Of course lairs have a guaranteed hero, if the corresponding reward bit is set (chance 6.7% in lairs that are not too weak). I've done a number of tests at the start of the game with enough money and fame in Vanilla and Insecticide (1.40j I think). I reported my findings in some thread. Either way, it turned out that the chances matched the expectations.

Hmm, each time Tlaloc casts a spell (ice bolt, disenchant area), his mana goes up instead of down...
That is, until he goes over 32767. Then it flips and remains constant at -32768.

Aureustgo Wrote:More bugs: Thanks. Are these 1.31 or Insecticide specific? (I am out for more days. Bad times ahead.) I like Serena Wrote:Hmm, each time Tlaloc casts a spell (ice bolt, disenchant area), his mana goes up instead of down...Ouch. No idea what is wrong, but the info is valuable. Maybe I messed up the fortress mana "unable to cast due to half discount" correction? It seems so. I like Serena Wrote:Hmm, each time Tlaloc casts a spell (ice bolt, disenchant area), his mana goes up instead of down...For insecticide: bug confirmed. For vanilla: unknown. Problem is the stupid vanilla AI does NOT cast spells at all during my attack against Tlaloc's fortress. Don't understand why... Yet another proof that AI is stupider in vanilla... lol. In any case, I'll try to manufacture a suitable savegame to test this. |
