Glad you like it! I picked up "Ticket to Ride" since it was recommended here and I am having a blast.

Trainyard gets a big thumbs up from me as a puzzle game. Also been really liking Kingdom Rush for train journeys (although that game could really use a list of what enemies are coming up in future waves so you can plan ahead better)

At the moment I only play locally against the AI, if I ever start playing online I will post my tag. uberfish Wrote:Trainyard gets a big thumbs up from me as a puzzle game. Metacritic score right now is 92%, but the price is quite high (17.99$ on iPhone) http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/27/t...mix-review Another recently released casual fun game is Granny Smith: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/Android/G...sp?c=44624 And last but not least, Bastion is now available (though iPad only): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4D78ppDZXQ
ive had trainyard for a long time and still havent finished them. Havent played it in a long time either though.
I've been way too distracted by TTR - although it only took 2-3 play throughs before i bought the expansions (1910s). It must be a better game vs. humans than it is vs. the AI. Also - I dont take any time at all "playing defense" against the AI - I would guess that becomes more important against humans as well.

Hehe, that's what I like about the AI, they let you build the most obvious routes without interfering, and in the end my railroad network looks really nice...It's probably the most fun being played with real people and the actual boardgame. I can imagine the look on people's faces if you block their 20 point route ![]() As for more games, allow me point you to newly released Super Hexagon. It's from the guy that created VVVVVV on the PC. Basically you just steer a triangle left and right through geometrical forms. In the beginning it's incredibly hard, but immensely rewarding. Introductory price is only 0.99$ - both available on iPhone and iPad. I can imagine the look on people's faces if you block their 20 point route Dat feel when your opponent blocks you and makes you use 25 trains for a 12 train route.... But you still beat him by one point. Yeah online is tougher but it's really fun and makes you have to plan and scheme a lot more. If you wanna try a game against me I promise I won't just try to block everything you do. :D
Just got the girlfriend an ipad for her birthday and downloaded tinywings for her, and carcassone thinking I would steal it and play occasionally.
To my surprise she hardly plays tinywings and loves carcassone |
