Need Replacement player for PBEM37

This is a greens/intermediate game. We need a replacement player for TheArchduke's civ.

This might be good for someone green that wants to get an idea of the time commitments of a middle-game PBEM. Looking for someone who can play daily and report occasionally.

Original timeslot for TAD was morning CET, but also would work for someone willing to play evenings anywhere in the US.

An Asian Australian player would have a pretty big window to play as well. The only timezone that may be troubling is someone in Eurozone who wants to play in the afternoon/evening.

Arch is a bit behind, so I would not be opposed to someone who's stronger than the rest of us. Both Sareln and Lewwyn would be fine with me. Seems neither one of you is map spoiled, but enough has been explored that pre-game map knowledge would not be much of an issue IMO. We've been keeping a pretty good pace, so maintaining 1t / day should not be a problem. Currently up to t84, expansion is starting to get a little cramped (on a fairly large map). One important note: The diplo system might put you off. Yes, it's a bastard system cookied up in the dark recesses of my twisted mind.

Basically, it's AI diplo + NAPs and border agreements. You can send messages to the effect of "we propose NAP until t80" or send a screenshot detailing a border agreement. This can be combined with AI diplo measures and unit gifting. Example:

- NAP until t80
- border as shown in screenshot
- 2 settlers to be gifted no later than t75
- 3 gpt for player B for the duration of the NAP

In practice, we've only been signing NAPs and made border agreements so far. It's been very effective for cutting down time spent on diplo while still giving the game a diplo feel. One problem is how to handle broken deals, so far we've used a little bit of real negotiation to allow players to convey that they believe terms have been broken and demand compensation. Also, no deals may last longer than 20t (rolling agreements allowed).
