Hehe. I just spent the last 3 hours working on spreadsheet micro. First time I've used a spreadsheet, but it helped me catch an extra pop growth so maybe there's something to it. My main goals were to pump out our 2nd settler and an archer at the right time frame to get the city settled with the archer in the city. Success. However, it will require a Capital whip. But I'm feeling real good about the plan. First let me show you, then I'll explain a bit:

So this turn I'm going to switch the sugar and Sheep tiles between the cities for the next two turns in order to get WW to grow EOT 39. Before I was swapping them T38, but the difference is that now PB3 will be working the sheep again on T39 when it is building an archer so it gets an extra food into the food box. This allows the city to grow to 4 EOT 41. This extra pop does not have an improved tile to work so we end up 2 pop whipping the city on T43 to get our 2nd settler. The archer has finished on EOT41 as well so it has been moving for 2 turns. The settler catches up to the archer and the archer lands on the tile NE of the Pink dot city the same turn(45) as the Settler. On T 46 the Archer Moves SW with the settler and the settler builds our 3rd city.

The only things I'm not completely sure about yet are worker movements given that we need a road S of the cap + a chop after that and then the worker has to run down with the archer to land on the deer the turn the city is built to begin camping. The good thing about this new plan is that we do not whip WW but we still get the worker out EOT45. Also we get a 4th worker out of the cap with the whip overflow EOT 46.

So by EOT 46 we have 3 cities Pops 2/2/1, 4 workers, 4 warriors, 1 archer and we should have pottery at this time as well. The only thing we're missing is a road from the cap to the pink dot. But with 4 workers I'm sure we can make it work. We wouldn't be able to pasture the horses until after T51 anyway.

Soldier count is still 15k for rival worst and we think that's Trolls so 2 warriors.

Could also move the South warrior W onto the flat land. It would pin the warrior on the hill and doesn't allow both warriors to hit it. From there next turn we move that warrior NW and that allows us to possibly move the other warrior onto the road. I think that might be the move to make.

Moved the North warrior SW as proposed and ended up moving the South Warrior straight up their ass:

By going NE like this we put pressure force the new warrior build and they have to sit two warriors on the two hills or they risk us gaining a hill foothold. That frees up our north warrior to get on the road or go straight at the second city.

Following the new micro plan. Roading. The second worker finished so we start the settler before switching into the archer.

Also note that M3 has declared war on our friends the Pirates. Here's to them not losing their pink dot. toast

I think becoming friends with Pirates early was a good move. We are dominating the demos right now, and with the pressure we are putting on Trolls, we are probably going to be in a really good position. The big fear though is that Gillette is just sitting down there in south, doing whatever they want.

We might want to consider grabbing Astronomy first and boating them, as that might be the only way to slow them down if M3 cannot/won't, and Trolls are in their pocket.

Lots of conflict in this game so far, t'would seem. I hope the lurkers are enjoying it. popcorn I'm glad we're kicking their sandcastle and that so far it's not us on the receiving end.

Agree about Team Hack Your Face with a Dull Razor. Hopefully someone shits in their sandbox soon, but there's only so much we can do at once. Maybe boating is the answer later on, though hopefully someone will sling some mud at them much sooner so we can sit and tech. That's likely, right? We're making some good friends down south at the moment. goodjob
