There's two min-width declarations in global.css - body { min-width: 1000px; } and .wrapper { min-width: 970px; }. Get rid of those (possibly by using a custom stylesheet if you're so inclined) and it seems to look very fluid indeed in Opera 12.

Found it, and turned them off via the Web Inspector in Safari (this is only a dev tool thing, however). Made things fluid, but put in a lot of margins everywhere.

Yo, admins, we should base any real styling here on the MyBB default, which seems to be a lot better designed in CSS terms. Colours are easy to fix, and we can kill off unneeded elements from the templates.

So this might be confirmation bias but the site definitely seems a lot slower after the "unread posts" plugin was put in. Can we take that out until we find a better plugin for that?

I have a problem.
I normally post/read off my (quite) old phone.
However, both here and on the temporary i've had a problem where after logging in on it, the forumn comes up ewith the "redirecting to previous viewing" and then sends me to the log in page, WITHOUT logging me in, cutting down posting ability considerably.

I presume this is a problem with MyBB as the old forum worked fine with it.

Also, thanks for Forumjump! Why does this take considerable energy?

Tapatalk is installed now. Getting it registered with them is on the list to do.

Yay! Thanks! :D

It felt a bit sluggish for me, and I noticed the count at the top on the front page was something like 20,600 posts unread. Once I caught up with what I actually wanted to read I hit the "mark all read" button. It's feeling more responsive to me now, but that could be hope speaking.

Edit: Nah, think it's just the same as earlier.

Agreed - the unread posts plugin seems to slow things down.

I think the huge amount of old imported posts might screw with the normal new posts search, too, just as it did with the list of the last posts in thread, and sometimes not being able to open the last page of a thread.

It seems as though this thread has become the complaint department; I'd like to interject my thanks to Yazilliclick and KoP for getting things up and running so fast, and for their fast response to requests.

That said, I have another request (of course!). Many of the thread titles end up looking something like "Mr. Verylongname talks about...". Back in the old days, I could mouse over the abbreviated thread title and see the full text. Not a major deal, but something that I find myself missing. The ability to see the first few lines of a thread via mouseover is something else I miss.

It seems to be another thing that's broken about the chosen default theme. The MyBB theme wraps these long titles to another line.
