Well I know my paragraph will be "bad-ish land/leader/civ + horrible stupid early game play + not knowing what to do with a scooter neighbor + death", so no need to waste more time on me. :P

No thread will ever match Pocketbeetle's) from t1-175 (can't remember exact numbers), it might not have been hilarious but it was VERY detailed and as a lurker we were kept informed of situation. Even at the end strategy posts were frequent and questions were answered.

I liked your thread Krill. Well, I read the interesting bits and skipped the mundane stuff. And when you had secured a winning position I stopped paying much attention.
I have to run.
novice, I knew that you, Seven, mackoti et al would find most of it boring, I'm just glad that there was something decent in their for you guys. It was aimed mainly at if not newer, then less experienced players. I mainly wanted to show one way to develop an empire without resorting to acres of spreadsheets, so I suppose the one plus to doing it this way is that the information is more easily understood.
I have not read the first part of it, and briefly read your website, and I looked a little bit at the photo albums. I did like your comments on things, but a few bits of (hopefully) constructive criticism -
1) I thought the website had too many pictures. Maybe it was because I was going through it in hindsight, but I found myself skimming through much of it. Especially the pictures where the labeled text was "Boring". 2) On the photo albums where it was just a bunch of pictures - it was hard to get a lot of context for what was going on. Having said that, I am enjoying reading it and obviously I know that my reports are not always the best, for which I get made fun of in everyone else's thread anyways (October 18th, 2012, 17:20)Krill Wrote: OK, so I know I dropped off the reporting later on, but how was the thread? I followed it very closely, and enjoyed it greatly. I missed having the turn reports towards the end, but it's understandable given how much was needed to write them. Thanks for a great read. EDIT: I particularly liked the pictures but sometimes wished for more overview pictures over cities... Kalin
Those of you that have the bandwidth to spare...here is the world map. It is 48 MB though, so don't download it too many times...

I understand skipping past the "boring" ones, I know I did that myself, but sometimes I'd want to go back and check out a cities growth, that was when it was useful - and almost certainly why it was done.
Besides evewn if 75% of the time pictures are skipped, its better to have more then less.
