What's up with the animal-person combination creatures? Are they randomly generated like everything else?

Does not look to good!
Motor and sensory nerve damage to the right lower leg.
I cannot stand up anymore! Reduced to crawling!!!
Here is the situation:
Oh dear, I have trained myself up to a speed greater than 1500!!
Now I am reduced to crawling at 500! Won't be making long tours of the world with that!
I need a crutch!
Lets get back to Echoentrances then. The short route this time! Maybe their shops have crutches.

I was wondering whether the game was giving me crab-man after I killed some crabs and then giving me a Giant Crab after I killed some crab-men. But I doubt it works this way. I suspect it is the particular area which has a higher "evil" level?

Back to Echoentrances, I crawl my way from shop to shop looking for a crutch. And guess who joined up with me!? Kad the Macewoman who left me at the start of my day at the beach!
...
No crutches to be found. According to rumours outlaws and bandits are likely to have them in their loot. So I should look for bandit camps and outlaw infested catacombs. Yeah, right. With just one arm and crawling!
Hmmmm.

Harmless Girlishbridges decided to stay in Echoentrances for the rest of the winter, crawling through the town, bothering people with stories about his adventures and constant demands for a crutch.
When one fine day in March y126:
"Spattergate? Never heard."
"Apparently a bunch of dwarves from the southern kingdom got lost in the wilderness. Got most of their belongings stolen as well. Just some useless junk left to them. Not worth trading for. They will probably die of thirst pretty soon, seeing as there is no booze around this place."
"Hmmmm .... useless junk? Hmmmm...... I think I will pay them a visit."
"You do that."
...
"Come on, Kad, there are some dwarves just south of the city walls, which have not heard my stories yet!"
...
".... so there was me in that catacombs, cut off from my companions, facing those 10 outlaws! ....."
".... a giant crab, I mean GIGANTIC! .... Grabbed my leg, it did! ....."
".... Hey, what is this? ..."

A first careful step:
And then it is practising the rest of the day running (ha!) around the fields just outside Echoentrances to get used to the crutch.
When night falls, I am exhausted but also better and quicker already!
Yay!

Nope.
The bleeding has stopped and their is now a massive scar. But the damage to the nerves mean I cannot stand on the lower right leg.

So does using the crutch reduce your ability to attack with the same hand?
