What's the situation with the game at the moment? Is it up and unpaused? I feel that just when you think that things cannot get worse for slowness they do find a way to get worse.

Just take a look at Civstats.

Up, unpaused, 8 hours left on the timer plus whatever time WPC needed before they ended turn. CivPlayers, CFC, and the Germans haven't ended turn yet.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

It's still only 2 votes against a reduction to 35 hours.

Wait, so they may change their position later in peacetime when the turns will actually be shorter, but now that the turns take 70+ hours they are against? Sigh...

CFC and Germans are the two worst offenders against the clock. They are the last two almost every single turn. Shocking that they would both vote against any changes. rolleye

What we really need is an admin ruling. There's a strong consensus of teams that want the timer to be lowered to something more reasonable. If it's 6-2 in favor of a shorter timer, is that enough? Does anyone really know? Is anyone in charge of this game?

Let's work for the moment to get plako firmly installed as game admininstrator, then ask him to make some kind of ruling. This is the only way that anything will ever get done.
