Super quick before I go off to work:
Turn 067
Sorry Noble, I was dead tired yesterday. I think the combination of staying up past midnight to play these turns and my wonderful roommate waking me before 6am finally caught up with me. There wasn't too much to decide, but it didn't keep me from forgetting to swap EP spending.
Our work boat was the most exciting thing that happened:
I think it needs to turn back next turn and try to find a passage to the SW of where it currently is. It has time to explore nooks and crannies along the way -- so I think next turn we can start by going NW-SW (7-9)
Demos - we're back on top with food again. I wonder if Rego has settled both his gold and that's why we're seeing such a spike from him (Gee, wouldn't it be nice to have a good spot to settle our gold at?):
And just because, here's the empire shot:

Yeah NW-SW next turn for sure. Kind of regretting going east this turn now but we should be ok.

Yeah, there's still 7 turns for the wb to get back, which means we should still have time to explore any potential waterways between the large island and the sheep/fur spot.
Been looking at worker actions and my regret is not cancelling There Me Burn and having it cottage 12 (S-SW) of OAT. We need both tiles 12 & 22 (S-SW & S-S) cottaged by end of t71. I think it still works out, but i didnt go over any worker actions last night.
@thestick- Figure it out yet or need another hint?

I think we cancel There Me Burn next turn, no? According to my preliminary micro plan that I came up with two days ago. We have Fun Be Rumor finish the last turn into that cottage and then cottage 2N of SBT. I know you mentioned getting a new SBT worker to cottage that tile, so we could do that and have Fun Be Rumor cottage another riverside tile of OAT. But that doesn't affect the turns for There Me Burn I don't think.
We can work this out tonight.

I think that part of the worker plan can use some revision. To start, why cancel TMB and have FBR finish the cottage when FBR can easily go NW-W and start the cottage itself. ![tongue tongue](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/RBOld/tongue.gif)
More seriously, i think its more natural for TMB to put in one turn of work on the cottage S-SW (12) of OAT on t69. Then it comes back to S-S (22) of OAT and finishes that cottage t70. Then it can move SW-NE and do the cottage N-N (88) of SBT, finishing t74, then continuing on to the Sheep/Fur city. Keep in mind SBT doesn't need a 2nd cottage until it hits size 5, or t76.
Meanwhile FBR goes NW-W next turn and cottages the tile S-SW (12) of OAT, finishing t71. It needs 1t of help to get that cottage finished by t71, and i think TMB is a more natural choice than Snub Mixer, particularly if we want Snub to cottage W-W (44) of OAT

Yeah there's really no particular need to cancel TMB and have FBR finish it, those actions are interchangeable.
I don't think it matters much whether we cottage 44 or 41 of OAT, there's probably like a 2% chance that will make a difference. I think SM actions looked very good in the runthrough but maybe I'm missing something. We definitely need to chat about this.

Wow that sucked. I think we ended up spending 3 hours just trying to figure out how to move those damn workers to make everything work out. And then another hour-plus doing C&D and playing the turn. And on a Friday night, too.
But we got it!
I'll post details later, I'm burnt out on civ tonight.

Played turn 69.
rego founded his sixth city, called Graham. Ichabod is still on 3 cities since we knocked out his mom. Here's an overview of our current empire:
Previously we had moved our scouting work boat to Ruff's borders but he denied us passage. With the treaty we couldn't do anything about it, so that contributed to us deciding to pull back the work boat to net the crab for our next city. In the meantime we've scouted one of the centers of the map to find two large islands, including a juicy corn up for grabs.
And yes, this does mean that Commodore did not screw us that badly as to put our horse in a spot where it can be in culture trouble with a neighbor.
Originally we were planning to settle west of the sheep as pictured, and our current micro plan is to that effect. But south of the corn is very enticing so we'll probably change the plan to plant there instead. The main problem is making sure we have adequate defense for the settler since the city is rather out there. But we definitely want to plant there if possible which will lock down most of the island except for another city site on the north shore. Planting in the south may be ceding most of the island to say Ruff in comparison.
Anyway, our current plan is to grab Currency (due eot74) and then plant the crab/sheep city, the fish/spices city, and the fur city quickly after that.
pindicator, I vetoed the previously discussed EP allocation and kept the same 1:2:1:0 distribution for this turn. This gives more leeway for keeping graphs on Ruff and tech on rego. scooter is also spending 1/turn on us so I think we need spend a point on him next turn instead of Ruff, as indicated by the sign. I think we should keep 2/turn on rego continually until we get 2 points ahead of the threshold.
