Regarding the deal with CFC, most people were happy to just get the NAP. The marble was only an afterthought. I think we expected that we were not really going to get it from them. Let's not overreact. We should honor our deals.

If we do get sabotaged I would blame CFC first and ask questions later.
Well I guess the big loss of EP would make it obvious who did it, so never mind.

I somewhat doubt CFC would do something that breaks the agreement if they had no guarantee it had plausible deniability. Let's just try and work out where they are building the Taj, when they are projected to finish it, and how we can shave off time from our current plan if that is needed.
Oh, and go over any future CFC proposal with a fine-toothed comb before agreeing it. As kalin noted, we are getting out of the agreement what we really wanted (a long-term NAP), so let's not get stuck up on the Marble.

Yeah, barring spy shenanigans, we still should be able to beat out CFC to Taj, which makes the whole marble episode rather funny in hindsight. Amusing because this is the same kind of "letter-of-the-deal" stuff we all expeted from a deal with them. But we can't pretend it wasn't obvious what that marble was needed for, so i do understand their idea to make a play for Taj.
But if we get beat to it, the it's less funny and more for including that marble provision.

Do they even have enough EPs to sabotage us? I thought we had en EP agreement limiting us to graph levels.

Yes, neither of our teams has spent EP on one another for ages. CFC has about 60 EP invested in our team right now. Somehow I don't think that would be enough to sabotage hundreds of shields worth of production with a spy. One worry out of the way.

I don't think the "throw out part of the deals with CFC" suggestions were serious, but in case they were, yeah not happening.
What are you guys talking about with the marble provision being a problem? There was never a solid agreement in place to get marble from them because they didn't have it in their borders. It was only when we had a deal in place that we were able to tack on a very loose marble provision just to squeeze them for something extra. The NAP was the whole point of that deal, and we always knew we were highly unlikely to be able to get marble from CFC. We even made Taj plans assuming we would not have marble. I'm just wondering if people critical of the marble provision were even paying attention when we signed it?

Thank you for your offer to trade world maps. We currently have explored the lands we need, so we are not interested in a map trade at this point.

Should we send map trade offers to the Spanish and WPC now? Might be good to do it at once, so we can get them quickly.
We should tell the Spanish that we have near-perfect visibility of CFC's cities (all but the most recent one), and the same about the Germans to WPC.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

The Spanish and CFC has signed peace now. No revolt from CivFr (I think they just researched Bureaucracy) yet (which is what I logged in to check).
