Maybe we should have moved up one more tile and occupied the jungle next to the ivory. He couldn't reinforce the jungle this turn since our galley was in the way, but next turn he can move back to the tile and settle there if he wants.

I'm pretty sure we can get Currency next turn. We have more than enough gold for 80% science and we should barely make it with that or maybe come up a few beakers short. We just can hire an extra scientist or whatever if need be.

Dazed didn't settle his city, for some reason. Maybe he was afraid of losing the defensive bonus from the forest. I could indeed squeeze out currency:
Boldly showed up with an Impi, chasing away my workers that were farming the wheat. Annoying, they'll have to wait for phalanxes to arrive now. The upshot is that I was reminded that Boldly is playing the Zulu civilization. It only says Hat Creek Company or something in-game. Considering I was "guarding" those workers with a chariot, that incident could have turned out worse than it did.
I have to run.

zak's three archer plus worker stack is rather suspect...
And oh man, we're first to Currency. LOL.

Yeah I just compared GNP on it with Alphabet. And we couldn't see anyone's gold amounts on the F4 tech screen, whereas after EOT we can see everyone's.

Lazy picture dump for now from t71:
Err okay that picture dump is a bit disjointed - I naturally killed Dazed's redlined galley with my second galley, and then used it to block the 1-tile strait. I collected all my units 1S of where Dazed wants his city.
Demos are after ending turn. I'm on par with Dazed economywise on max tax, Zak makes 36gpt on max tax. Boldly is teching atm. so I don't know.
I have to run.

My name is one word you know. *grumble*
Anyway dazed's stack disappeared. zak has an axe with his archer party. Pity we don't have any units on our galley or that worker would be toast...
Are you about to drop off undefended civilian units near the eastern ivory there?
We need to name a city "Bird".
