That's from them getting the Great Lighthouse.

On a side note, while I was logged in just now, I noticed that someone in a distant land got a Great General this turn. Which means LAM & MackSeven are going at it. We'll see next turn how the power graphs change to see who took the biggest hit in whatever battle just happened. And sadly with Civstats down, we can't see if a city was captured or not.

Actually I believe we want more HAK cities than hydra cities - the teching civ a bit more compact and with concentrated cottages - the EXP civ can get new cities up quicker and be the production powerhouse later on, so perhaps it should be a city for you HAK?

That's good news! If it wasn't an AW game I'd want an observer up there to tell us whats happening, but that wouldn't be sensible here.

On the demos the max power (Mackoti) last turn (57) was 115000 and average was 80000 so lets see how that changes when the turn gets back to you...

I did take a screenshot of it while I was in there. So this is what it looks like after their turn and before RMOG:

I guess that would also put the Crab/Whale city to it's west to eventually be one of mine as well, since the overlap of it being for THH would be too interfering. But I'm sure we'd want my northern cities before we ever go for that one.

I agree with Old Harry. Copper site should be a priority and can pump out super archers+dogs for both civs...probably just granary+barracks and then steadily churn out units.

HAK, I didn't switch to a chariot in Calcar to let it grow because it would've grown into unhappiness. We need to wait just a couple turns for that to wear off. Here is what everything is building:

The workers are indeed heading south, but they are doing work along the way that is also necessary or that will save worker turns.

I noticed this situation developing on HAK's front and thought I'd post it so we can discuss what to do before he plays:

I'm wondering if the spear in Asylum shouldn't be whipped - the gold and (theoretically, though I doubt they know it's there) copper are both under threat, and I'm not sure of the odds, but that dog may be vulnerable - four strength to the war chariot's five, and chariots get a bonus when attacking axes. He should probably fortify in place ...

Shoot, I forgot to take a demos screenshot. Sorry, Old Harry ...

Fortify in place and whip the spear. If they attack (and most likely kill) the dog, you should be able to clean up with the spear. I'd also get out another spear asap..probably a good idea to fortify on the copper (the second spear) along with a dog later on. Losing metal would not be ideal.

that's what I'm thinking too and what I'll be doing. may not be able to log in until tonight though. It would actually benefit us if they kill the dog as then we'd be able to rid them of an already promoted unit. but I'm thinking they would move one tile south, see the whipped spear and then pull back to a spot the spear can't reach. at least that's what I would do.

Ok, here's how things look:

I whipped the Spear in Asylum, and will be able to have another spear next turn with exact hammers.
I also put a turn into a Spear over in Madhouse (it could have completed it's Archer this turn, but wanted a turn into a Spear in case he sends the war chariot that way. I can whip that Spear at any time.
I also have multiple workers near the city so that if he moves the chariot to any of those tiles south of the forests I'll be able to insta-road and send the spear to kill it. And if he kills my Dog, I'll also be able to kill it.
Basically if he does anything besides keep it up there in the trees, I should be able to kill it.

After I ended my turn, I whipped my Barracks down in Mt Loon. It'll then spend a turn finishing it's next Worker, and then do some Archers.

My second Fur camp has finished and I've sent it over to THH. So when he starts his turn, he'll be able to accept it and have himself another happy face.
