AT loves it when a plan comes together!! [Spoilers]

the main advantage of peace is that we will look less tasty to TT and cornflakes - I'm considerably worried abotu cornflakes, who can pretty take SWAT and Quincy without too much trouble. They aren't free, but if he puts his army at them, he can do some damage there.

Course, if we stay at war, we can send a force of knights around and take Virmir from behind.

Take Virmie - how long would that take? That would be nice. Those elephants are even more effective than I'd originally imagined. No where to run, no where to hide for our Knights. But its almost as bad for cuirassiers. Sure we get better odds but generally we're trading 60H for 100H. And I'd imgine that even if we win a battle, Jowy can still target our wounded Cuirassiers,...so that sucks even worse.

If he's sending that settler to that iron location we could also nab that city. He doesn't seem to have iron, so virmie gone plus no iron for Pikes and we could send in the Knights. Well that seems far off in the future right now.

I'd prefer the flexibiity of war with Jowy but I'm also worried about Cornflakes taking those cities. But if we're conducting a purely defensive war with Jowy than we should be able to get the resources to stop Cornflakes.

Anyway, if you're worried about Cornflakes you probably should be in Nationalism.

My favourite next city, but its going to provote Cornflakes. We're on an even cultural battle with 2 cities each. I'd really like to land this before we lose cultural control, but its really risky and provoking. Long-term we'll be glad we have it if conflict with CF breaks out

Can't really tell if its on a hill or not. If not, 1S is a good choice too, but we'd lost the naval access unfortunately. Still a good, secure location where we can transfer defenders between cities in 1T while Cornflakes doesn't have that advantage.

Right now, I'd love to switch to nationalims, draft 10+ maces while cranking out 5 settlers and try to land and then hold these cities.

I logged in to make sure it was paused for cornflakes.. jowy had responded with a counter-offer of all three techs and Rannoch for peace. I don't know why I bother sometimes, you know?

About your peace offer to Jowy:
trolls

I'm just kidding about Jowy, it appears that he adequately defended against TT so I'll disparage him no further.

Jowy just has no reason for peace since he can defend adequately but can't win. Now he's playing for military fun. Nothing wrong with that so long as he defends all borders within reason. Or he's playing for survival and he thinks that he needs the tech to survive. Doesn't matter either way since making peace with him on these terms is only going to hurt our chances of winning the game. Soon he'll dream of liberating his former cities.

It seems that the wind has gone our of your sails. Don't worry, we'll kill Jowy sooner or later. alright

Why do you want peace with Jowy anyways? His army is primarly Longbows now, so he's not going to be very effective on the attack. That's 650H invested for him that aren't catapults. So I don't think that we'd have to have a huge army on our Western border, not for Jowy anyway. With TT's muskateers and not selling us gunpowder, we need a decent army regardless of Jowy. We could trust to whips and drafts to cover any surprises.

TT is also likely to take a stab at Jowy in the future since he'll sense weakness that we now know is not there. Jowy defended Ferros before so as long as we just stick to our cities, he'll probably do so again. And nobody's really pulling ahead too much of us. We've still got a decent chance at the game so long as we defend our borders and push out a few more cities.

That was an interesting interturn

1) Commodore and 2metra made peace.
2) 2metra declared war on TT.
3) Jowy killed a LB and lost 3 war elephants attacking my units - a mace and 2 LB, units he definitely had odds on. I bet he's pissed.

He did not attack the LB I killed noveria with, probably because he couldn't get great odds on it. so, I'm cutting roads, which will cut off his fur and horse.

on the down side - war weariness is starting to affect us and he got another GG, which he attached to another LB, so now he has 2 CG III LB - but no elephants, so our knights can come into play.

I brought his defenses all the way down and moved another cat in. I'll try attacking next turn, see what happens. We'll have 2 more cats for the followup attack, plus a couple more knights. I dunno - something might come out of this afteralll

TT and 2metra made peace, so that sucks for us. TT has pinch for all his musketeers (he fulfilled the GunsButter quest), so that's very dangerous.

I hit Eden Prime with 9 cats and killed a bunch of units, lost some, too. lost all the cats, though we did kill one of his GG units. I don't think we are taking it any time soon.

I landed the GIII LB and captured and deleted 2 workers.

And here comes the weariness. I can't really take Eden Prime, since he's healing quickly and I've got 4 unhappy faces in A-Team.

I really hate the SoZ. Course, I should have walked away last turn, too.

well... commodore and 2metra decided that it was time to help carve up Jowy and declared.

Current plan:

Kick off a GA as soon as I figure out how to do that and be able to switch into Representation at the end.
Trade for education, etc., as soon as I can.
Build infra - in dire need of courts in quite a few cities. My costs in many cities are very high.
