I agree with this 100%, we do want them to think we tried to help, so however we can manage that while actually helping them as little as possible would be great. It would be awesome if they engage most of the German defense while we take all the cities! But given that we're probably looking at a very uneven split in war spoils at the end of this thing, I don't know how much we can really expect them to be in our corner after it's all over anyway.

Can the chariot currently scouting the german forces end up shadowing the WPC stack during the war? That would help us help them and also give us first-hand intel on the german stack.

We need to coordinate our war declaration of Germany so that WPC and us end up on the right (same) side of the turn timer. No one wants three consecutive turn timers.
Q1: Do we want the first half or the second half?
Q2: Once we decide which half we want, how do we arrange to get it given this mod?
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

To expand on this, I think we want to do a test run of some sort with the mod to make sure the 2v1 war doesn't split us into 3 timers.

I'm going to laugh if anyone knows the answer to question 2. But anyway we always want the second half of the timer if possible, I think. I'm under the impression that the declarer always gets the first half though.

If both we and WPC didn't log into the game at all before the Germans played and ended turn, why would we be in the first half of the turn split? Unless it is somewhere specifically mandated in this game's rules stating otherwise, it seems clear to me that both attacking parties would be in the second half of the timer, in that case. Because if not that would basically be forcing us to double move the Germans, right?

Quote:a. Civilizations that are at war must observe turn order. Turn order is automatically fixed by the APT Mod on the first turn of war.
b. Teams must also observe turn order on the turn immediately prior to the first turn of War.
b1. Declarer Desires First Half Example: If the declarer desires to move first during the war phase turns, they must move before their 'target' in the turn preceding their war declaration.
b2. Declarer Desires Second Half Example: If the declarer desires to move second during the war phase turns, they must move after their 'target' in the war declaration turn.
c. Turn Order Shuffle to later slot - All teams at war have the right to request an order shuffle to a later slot providing at least 3 turns have elapsed since the declaration of war or the last order shuffle. If order requests conflict, the priority for a later position goes to the team that is currently earlier in the turn. The team moving ‘down’ the order acknowledges that they are giving the team moving ‘up’ a double move against them.
Given the way the Germans ends their turns, we basically have no chance of getting the first half of the turn timer

That doesn't really say much because it doesn't define what "moving before" or "moving after" exactly means.

I'm going to say there are only one action that can be used as a proxy for that that is computer-detectable, and that is ending turn.
Thus I think we will have to start out in the first half, and then request a swap if we want the second half later on.
