I have played and can recommend "To the Moon" and "Dreamfall". "Gemini Rue" has a pretty good metacritic score (8.2 critics/8.5 user)

Ner mainly everything which is decently priced in a similar timeframe in US or UK is about 3 times the price here. Best found so far is a shop in Melbs, which actually imports physical media from the UK... Dungeon Crawl.. Still not so uber but has a deal from time to time.

That wasn't an entirely seriously comment. A more serious comment would be to give up on modern gaming because it sucks on a dollar/hour investment beyond stuff like LoL and CIV.
