nod

Anyway, go with this plan, it works out better. Brick, you can update the second post with what's below. The only real change is giving the deer over to the new city (Mr. Love?) the turn it founds (T34) until T38, one turn before its own cow is ready. That puts Mr. Love working cow/horse/gfh until it retakes the deer. Keep that setup until T38. Stonehenge finishes 120/120, but more importantly, puts Mr. Love at +6 food at 14/26, so it grows in 2t. Also, Mr. Love still gets its best completion date on the worker (T44). Now, the decision is what next to build in Mr. Love. BW is due 5t (T44) after we get Stonehenge. There is no hammer overflow from Stonehenge, so we can put a turn into a chariot (or whatever, but this is likely best), grow to 4, then start another worker so we have 3 around when BW comes in. We can turn that into another settler, some workboats, chariots, etc. Too far out now to say for sure. But hooking up clams after BW sure would be nice.

Mister Love is the capital. City two I've suggested calling it Happy Face.

T26 - Worker is sitting in the capital, next turn begins the horse pasture.

Scout move for next turn, NW/NW onto the forest?

Demographics:

Yay at the crop yield. We should be competitive settling an early second city.

City populations are 7 @ size 2, 2 @ size 3 (including us) and someone STILL at size 1.....smoke

That was a find/replace error. In my original micro write up I had #1 and #2 and it was confusing so I just replaced all. Didn't catch the error at the top, but yeah. I'm fine with those two names.

NW/NW looks to be the best for both tile revealing and defensible terrain, so go for it.

T27 - We met Oxy this turn:

Among the people we know, we have knowledge of Sisu in common, obviously, since he's standing on Sisu's border. He has not met Suttree, and there's no telling who he knows that we don't. Maybe he'll think we came from the SE since that's where our scout came from.

We'll get graphs on suttree soon, then we can swap over to Oxy. He knows BW since he's already swapped to slavery civic. He has not whipped yet and is SPI so I'm not sure what the point of the earlier revolt was. Maybe it isn't costing him anything yet?

Around the capital we're doing buildery things. Pasture is 1/4, on schedule. UI overlay shows I've not yet screwed up the carefully crafted micro. PATIENCE!!! I will accidentally call an audible eventually. neenerneener

Derp, I didn't grab F9. Going back in....

T27-F9 - This clearly required a separate post, right?

Rival average crop yield is up one, which could be as small as a +1 growth somewhere pushing over a rounding threshold or maybe someone connected a food resource. We're still the leader. O fear us, or at least our tasty deer sausage and hamburgers! Looking closer at the food stat you can see that rival worst went up from 4 to 7, so maybe whoever was size one for so long finally grew, or improved a tile. Er...no, they didn't grow. Population stats are the same as last turn. So rival worst connected a food resource, which means they have a worker, which means they went worker first at size 1. Doing that on its own isn't awful, but taking 27 turns to build the worker and get the first food connected is absolutely terrible. If this was quick speed wouldn't Kyan have had like four cities by now? So adjust that by 1/3...three cities. I kid. But T27 connecting your first food is one way among many to Not Matter At All in the game.

No other changes in demographics, that is all.

Varsity Alpha Gamma Cappa FTW!

Yeah, I buried the lead. The one thing I omitted from these past several reports is that we're closing in on multiple victory conditions, but we're having a heated internal debate about which one will give us the highest score, so we just haven't done it yet.

In an alternative scenario, no, we haven't won the game yet, but we're working on it. Details are available upthread if you haven't been reading along. neenerneener
