Diplomacy Master Thread- Helping Your Opponents Beat Themselves

Note that Walls don't help SpanAP's War Elephants one bit. So either one or the other, or we'll be explicitly siding against CFC (as if the ivory trade gift wasn't enough!)

Walls will help every unit that get defensive bonuses, there's no reason we can't offer both.

And until CFC gives us an indication that they're interested in guaranteeing themselves extended peace by prolonging the NAP who cares if we offer resources to another team? CFC hasn't told us of any plans for a war, we don't read tea leaves. And if they do object then that gives us leverage in NAP negotiations. And if they object and still don't want a NAP we can poke them in the eye by saying we already had a deal with the Spanish, too bad for you.

I was thinking that in case of war we may revolt that city and take it with one movers.

I really like the idea of abusing spy mechanics against the team that was most adamant that spy missions were not unbalanced. lol

I don't think Spy revolts remove borders.

They don't remove borders; they just lower cultural defense to 0
Unless he means repeatedly dumping culture on their city tile, but that may take a while...

I think we should send the message to the Germans now. Or early tomorrow I guess.

Is this right? Does our NAP say that we cannot plot against CFC ... or form an alliance against them? If so ... and we think CFC is doing exactly that against us ... how do we call them on it? If we can't call them on it ... then why aren't we doing exactly the same thing with the Spanish?

They used the word alliance to mean a 2v1 war. I was just using the word they used since it's not their native language.

Huh, Yossarian Lives. Interesting choice.

Well, it's great we have a POC. Can we either send him something to respond to or corner him in a chat? It's been 2 weeks of stalling now....

It's a trade. Wemake more happy use out of the dyes than ivory (all them theatres). Yes it's a bit lopsided, but then again with knights available we're exiting the eraof building WEs anway.
