I checked the tracker, and it forwarded Kyans mail but also marked it as possible spam. So it's probably stuck in Krills spam folder. You could add a filter to never mark emails from Kyan as spam.

Yeah, it was stuck in the spam filter. Not sure why. Should be sorted now.

As a heads up, I'm working an early shift tomorrow, so I'll still be able to make my slot with zero problem, but not going to be able to play the turn before 1600 GMT+1.

Krill provided some feedback which I'll post here so everyone in the game gets the same info from him:
1) He thinks the map script is less balanced without editing than he expected.
2) Start location balance not taking into account effects of nearby water bodies is problematic.
In general, I like getting feedback about the script, as long as it's not screwing up this game by revealing too much info.
