Not really, no.

Double-whip at five -> three tiles worked next turn. Double-whip at five when about to grow -> four tiles worked next turn. That's what I mean.

Sure. But you're not getting 60 hammers for one pop. If you hadn't whipped you would have grown to size 6 on that turn or the following turn in most cases.

We had nothing but ice and tundra to the north, the only way we are going to make really good use of the land was use of the water wonders in this game.
Also although I think it's a nice move to go for TGH or the Colossus, I don't think wonder chasing would that great of an idea. We will most likely already have one of them, and I would rather not chase another one, as we are already investing resources into one of them, significantly decreasing the chances of getting the other one.

Do you think the MC bulbing plan would be good anyway? I was thinking it would be for early Forges, even if we're not Industrious, because we could use that hammer boost, plus it doesn't seem like a significant investment. Plus, if we do decide to go for the Colossus, it'd be quick to get out (12 hammers per turn at the capital + 25% Forge + 50% Copper = something like 8T completion, I think, assuming no OR). I think it is worth considering the plan at least, it makes the most use of TGL and early Forges are good w/o Colossus.

What do you think of the tech plan I laid out or any of the city stuff?

We continue our "million turns a day" pace. It really does feel like we have an amazing pace.

This doesn't show new /land/ per se, but it does update WilliamLP's borders and show he has a scout around.

WilliamLP's power graph shows no sign of movement despite his whips, so I can only assume they went into Settlers or something. Random fun fact: Last place now has 8 food, which makes me wonder if they are having barbarian issues. We had 32 before we whipped Walton this turn (Rival highest: 33).

Sam Walton will have 10 hammers of overflow, I think that since WilliamLP's power graph did not go up, I will put it into a Worker and build one from there. The Worker would be done in about 6T.

That's about it on the "doing stuff" front. Let's go to the Graphs!

So, I don't think it's a 2 pop whip, as his power did not decrease, if it did, then he would have 2 pop whipped, he must have switched off some commence tiles for production ones. Maybe indicating an early rush? Although we would need to see more explicit power changes to have actual proof that he would rush us.

Sam Walton's Lighthouse is done and is now working on a Worker (5T), which will be nice.

EOT, Masonry comes in. Workers are in proper position to pre-chop ASAP. This bananas is ready.

Warrior continues to sniff around our Will.i.am friends and not find anything of real note.

Then I forgot that I still had the turn to go for about half an hour and unminimized my Civ IV. Ehehehe...

Nothing much else to say, though. Graphs basically just showed that he lost a ton of pop so everything of his went down. I can get them if you want, or you can log on, whichever you'd prefer. here are demographics.

If we could get 12 hpt in the capital, it would take us 10 turns to finish the Collosus. With forge, and Copper however the forge itself is quite expensive, at 120 hammers, and that would take us 10 turns to finish as well, that would be about 20 turns trying to finish the Colossus, in that time span we could have gotton out like 3 settlers.

Good point on that front, though I imagine when we get MC we're basically going to whip Forges everywhere except places like David Buick that can't afford it (The cap, John Dodge, Sam Walton and Cow City for sure can handle it, I'd have to check other spots)

Turn on! We seemed agreed to Pottery first anyway, so I'm heading towards that. It will be done in six turns.

Getting a look at WilliamLP's capital shows some...interesting choices.

Astute readers with eyes will first note the three Warriors (I could only see one when I moved ours onto the hill, so I figured it was safe: He might sac one to whack our Warrior: In fact, he almost certainly is. That would be why we are at "war": He declared on us when our Warrior moved next to his. Even if he tries to do something to us, it's just Warriors, so a single Axe whip basically takes care of it. Plus, seeing the 3 Warriors accounts for 3k of his Power, so it's highly doubtful he has a huge army behind it...), but the bizarre thing? That rice isn't farmed. It's COTTAGED. Very confusing: Yes, a Rice is a three food tile, so you ger 3/0/1 that eventually turns into a Town...but 4/0/0 = free population = just cottage a Grassland, PLUS faster growth, plus it gets to 5 FPT with irrigation, plus whipping help, plus...it's just silly, even if they have a lot of food.

Since our Warrior is probably gonna get whacked, I might doublewhip an Axe from Walton when the Worker is done and just plain use it to scout. Let's see warrior whacking happen then.

(And yes, WilliamLP probably loses in this exchange if he loses a Warrior, which he probably will, so I'm not even displeased)

With Masonry in, I whip the Lighthouse, which gives us 26 overflow: You can overflow up to however much an item costs, so I also chopped a forest to make it 46 overflow. Standard Oil will also grow EOT.

Interestingly, though, WilliamLP's power DID go up, but I am not sure if it is much more than Warriors + pop (He went up from 78 to 84, so he probably grew a pop point at least). Here are Graphs.

Culture/Espionage tells us nothing. If you are worried about an invasion, I'll switch Walton's Worker to a Warrior to grow, then 2-pop whip the Axe when it grows to Size 4 (Putting the resulting stuff into another axe). Do you think the threat is big enough for me to do so? I suppose it could be a good idea just to bust barbs, too...

Here are Demographics.

Lol warriors man so scary, but anyways I really don't understand the cottaged rice :weed:. If he even atempts to kill us, we can always do the 2 pop axe trick and be able to hold off any early aggression. If he wants to go for a lot of aggression, well we have the Food advantage, which translates to a production advantage due to whip. We might want to get an axe or something scout to see if he has any copper connected. If he doesn't have copper yet, we might be able to rush him and cripple him now.
