The problem is not enough land.
I'm surrounded by plains, jungle, tundra and coast. So many coast tiles. There is simple no way that I can compete later.
At the start of the game my thoughts were to stay with the other player that have better early traits.
I though that if I could keep up with the others in the expansion phase then when my traits start kicking in I could slowly take the lead. And use that lead to take someone else land.
The problem is that I just don't have enough land. At first is okay you don't work more than 4-6 tiles for the first 60-80 turns but then you need to grow vertical and I can only grow into coast. Of course if other people will be in the same situation than me then that will be okay, but the thing is that there are other players that have a lot more land compared to me so they will out grow me in production and food. I don't even have someone to "rush" (though it would probably be a bad idea with my land).
As I said before the GLH will make me stay competitive for awhile but to be honest I don't think I can win this. I try of course, maybe all other people start fighting each other and let me win.

retep, I can say without a doubt that you are one of the better players in the game. So, I definitely think you have great chances to win, relatively speaking.

This game is no tech trading isn't it? Have you seen how close scooter got to winning pb5 from Australia before he was screwed by tech trading?
But I approve of the complaining. More please!

It's also a greens game, I sincerely believe that the best player will win no matter where he started.

Thanks guys. It seems that my plan to get more comments has succeed.
Just kidding really guys thank you, as I said I try my best.
In a less depressing news actually turn reports from the past turns.
Turn 61.
MH start the settler, one worker is in the forest 1SE ready to start chopping next turn.
UV grow to size 3. Is working the cottage that I finish this turn. Is building a galley but in hindsight this is a mistake, it should be building a work boat.

Turn 62.
The two workers that finish the cottage:
Red: He moves 1NE to finish the cottage (3turns)
Blue: He moves 1N and make a cottage for one turn. He is moving north to help improve the new city that will be found down there.
The cities are doing the same, one more turn to get the GLH.

Turn 63.
I get the GLH. I adjust the tiles so the city can grow in 2 turns when one unhappy face goes away. Building a galley for exploration/transport duties.
UV has switch the cottage for the elephants, this don't delay growing so it would hit size 4 next turn.
MH has switch clams for fish this would give 40/100h for the settler next turn.

Thoughts after the GLH and before turn 64.
The GLH gives me the opportunity to plant cities that paid for themselves so I obviously need to expand fast to keep up with others especially since I spent a lot of hammers building the wonder.
I'm going to stop saying that I isolated because I know is not true. There is a "island", or could be a continent, to my west and there is where my closest neighbor is,there is no way that I would be isolated until Astronomy. Nevertheless the fact is that nobody has found me and this is good news for me.
This means that nobody has my graphs, nobody knows that I had very little military, nobody can realistically attack me for land, nobody even know where my cities are.
This means that even if someone would want to attack me they probably can't. Even if someone find me in a couple of turns and they are willing to attack me and have the military to do so, they won't have galleys to do it in a realistic time-frame.
What all this means? I'll go further with the farmers gambit since is the only way that I can keep up with the guys that have more land than me. Enough military for the barbs for at least another 25-30 turns, will this be a mistake? We shall see.
