- meta wise it feels weird for village to be picking up abilities as a result of lowered sanity. On the other hand... if he's scum, again, he didn't have to claim this obviously suspicious stuff.

i agree roleplay-wise, but gameplay-wise makes sense. its balancing.
sanity goes down when villagers die -> villagers are losing -> villagers get extra firepower when sanity low
sanity goes up when wolf die -> wolf are losing -> wolf get extra firepower sanity high
i think its to counter the big part of luck in the beginning.
at least to my noobie mind it make sense.

Ok, point taken. I see your case now. I thought it had to do with hedging on specific issues but you're talking about the larger picture.

About him only following me though: I can at least think of a counterexample. I didn't comment one way or the other about Uber's case on Gazglum, and Novice took a clear stance there before I did.

Btw. Pindicator, I really don't see how you can give credit to Brick for making the most of his fake post restriction. That's like praising a counterfeiter for his good penmanship.

As you put it in your last post, think larger picture. I can look at Brick's posts and watch him make critical reads off people's posts and do it in a way that a villager would. I can see his train of thought in his posts as he examined ichabod, and as he questioned me. He posted his reasoning behind his questioning and his conclusions and it lines up with my ecpectations of village behavior and motivation.

Novice has done none of that. That Brick has said more with pictures than novice with words is another strike against novice. When has novice been this passive before? When he's been a wolf

Also, I agree that it wasn't really that much under pressure, but when you're figuring how to tell your teammates you've been faking a post restriction the whole time, there's a wee bit of a tendency for paranoia to seep in there.

Protip: Don't wait until day 3 when we really can't afford a mislynch.

In regards to "generating suspicion on other players that may be entirely unjustified", that's an empty statement. Until we know for sure someone's alignment, we can't be sure if efforts to lynch them are correct, so that can't be what the statement means. When I've made cases on people, either I've translated it through Pindicator yesterday, or I did so in a way that tried my best to be as clear as possible, and in every case that I can think of someone responded with an affirmation that that made sense and summarized what I meant, so i'm not being incomprehensible, so that can't be what that statement means.

The point is that your lies affect our reasoning about other players. For example, I stated that Pindicator's ability is a natural antidote to your post restriction. Now, since your PR is a lie that makes me wonder if two claimed neighbour abilities isn't a bit much. Also, if people find your lies convincing, they will question players who don't. Just because you're not counteraccusing doesn't mean that nobody else will.

Have I been misleading the village? Yes, I have, and for the most part that has been bad and I apologize for that. Have I been confusing them? Well, I should hope not, and I don't think I have. After my initial romp of bad posts, I realized that I was drawing away attention from wolf hunting, so I told everyone to stop focusing on my post restriction, because that would only detract from wolf hunting, and then made a considerable effort to only really post when I felt like my opinion on an issue needed to be heard or when I have a case to make.

FWIW I couldn't make heads or tails out of your picture posts on day 1 when I was skim-playing from my phone.

I see where a point could be made in regards to me having pulled off Grand Liarceny before, and I can't refute that because I have. It doesn't really point well for you doing so from a villager perspective though when you don't have much to back up such an accusation with.

I don't think that we should uphold "Lynch All Liars" as a standard policy. There are instances where [lying] CAN be used by a villager in order to help either hunt out scum or mitigate damage.

Yes, and this wasn't one of them.

I think the fact that we have been upholding a Lynch All Liars policy speaks in favour of continuing it.

I agree that Novice's questioning of Brick should count as a case. Don't you agree, Pindicator?
