Meh, consistently beating Deity is hard (personally, I can only do it occasionally, and with significant effort even when I lose), and while I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it's not exactly unusual to be able to do so on this particular forum, it's still pretty reasonable to be proud of it. Besides, IIRC, he used to have it at his then-current difficulty level even before he started beating Deity.

I've never beaten Immortal or Deity before (DISCLAIMER: haven't tried in like 4 years), but I'm pretty sure I could comfortably beat CFCJester in duel. It's just a totally different game and different strategies are needed.

Then again, I'm genuinely not sure how you beat Deity AIs with the type of dotmapping I saw in PB8. So I'm sort of curious how he does it.

Mac Koti is undoubtedly one of the best players in the modern game right now. He's won at every level and will undoubtedly continue to do so, but I have to question how big of a role he's being asked to fill here. Is he actually going to log serious minutes every night, or is he just there on a short-term basis for veteran leadership? The latter would provide a boost for Yuris for sure, but if Koti isn't playing serious minutes every night and leading the team, I am not sure that Yuri is a serious contender for the championship. That said, we will definitely have to keep an eye on this situation. Yuris is a solid player who would greatly benefit from Mac Koti as a veteran coach that really loves running the Mehmed Offense. Who knows, maybe we'll see some movement in next month's power rankings!

Looks solid enough. Calendar stuff is a tease but the rest is fine. So what improvement does hunting let us build again?

Also, is that grassland Wheat (rather than plains) intentional?

That's the best capital I've ever had for a RBMod pitboss.

So obviously this will depend heavily on the scout, but I wouldn't be surprised if our best bet is to settle on the plains hill and power out a fast WB. The turn we lose for moving makes up the the turn the WB gains on being 1 tile away from the fish. Then we aim for a fast and close second city to use the Wheat.

However, since that wheat is grass and not plains, it may be the better tile, which would mean some sort of setup that lets us go worker first while teching Agriculture. Micro testing is probably needed here.

edit: agreed with pindicator, definitely better options than the last two I had!

You know, I think I see floodplains to the southwest. Settling on the plains hill forest with the hut on it and going worker/agriculture first might be pretty great.
