[Spoilers] Gavagai, Bacchus and Elizabeth Form a Romantic Trio

(July 25th, 2013, 10:33)Bacchus Wrote: I will start off by re-iterating my point that Dover is not so much a forward base of operations as a liability once the war breaks.

It will supply us with three units immeditely available on the theater in the course of the next few turns. Also, it gave us a plausible reason to start massing axes here before the start of the war. And without chariots he can't really threaten it. We will have a continuous strema of units from the south and there always will be somebody to defend it. So, disagree.

Quote:Another bitching point, what we should have done a turn ago, was send that southern axe to advance via the forests, rather than together with the others. Bitching over.

Sourthen axe was completed in Yark a turn ago and went straight north, so it wasn't a possibility.

Quote:Now for the plan. The only alternative that comes to mind, as they might keep their stack in place, is to chop a chariot rather an axe in Dover.

Too late, an axe is already completed. And if we have revealed chariouts so early, they would have time to research hunting and whip a couple of spears before we were able to cut off his copper.

Oh, fuck it, didn't see it was all regarding the previous turn. Wasn't available all day yesterday. Oh well, ramblings saved for posterity. Gav's plan was put into action, of course.

Horses connected and chariots completed in Croyden, Yark and London last turn, another chariot gets chopped in Yark this turn.

Egyptian axes retreated into Wall St. Gandhi takes the lead on the offensive:

Hopefully, the barbs will take care of him.

Redemption has a library — excellent war preparation, hopefully they are bulding some settlers too.

Having previously destroyed Sian's wandering thug, barbarians now took care of "Gandhi". Allies!

Ok, whilst I was scrolling around with a touchpad with no intention of taking any actions, I gave a move order to a unit. Not only did we reveal a chariot ahead of our plan, this was also a double-move right onto the Egyptian borders. I should have checked and made sure that no unit was selected before clicking on the map, but now I don't know where we stand with this rules wise. Would greatly appreciate comment from lurkers, as obviously we can't ask for a reload ourselves without provoking totally legitimate anger from Jester/Nakor.

I've sent the following to Jester and Nakor:

Quote:Jester, Nakor

While Bacchus was logged into the game, he made a misclick which led to a double-move which, unfortunately, will have a really big influence on our war. Frankly speaking, I'm not even sure, how to proceed: we don't reload misclicks but we do reload accidental double-moves. Also, it's weekend and if I understand correctly, we will need to wait for some time for reload (or Sunrise can reload during weekends already?).
I would like to ask you at least not to log into the game to remain unspoiled until we decide what to do.

Also posted in tech thread, asking for a reload. But, frankly speaking, given the rules agreed, I don't think we should be allowed to get it.
And, by the way, Bacchus is banned from logging into this game for indefinite time period.

I'd say that we should be made to stick with the move, but hopefully Nakor and Jester in name of good sport can refrain from reacting to seeing the chariot this turn. Even with the misclick, they would not have been able to say, switch into Hunting, if the game was sequential. But it's up to them.

War theater at T75 after both sides have played. Egypt has three axes and a warrior in Wall St., one axe to NW of our stack, one axe E. These are all his axes at this point. We have two chariots ready to attack Wall St. next turn, two more will be able to attack the turn after next.
After our chariots were prematurely revealed, I changed the plan. Now we we will try to capture Wall St. with chariots and will also use southern stack of axes to cut off his copper. But, frankly speaking, right now I'm not in the mood to make plans.
Also, Jester has settled a city this turn, have no idea, where. May be, he took his own horses...
