Broadband go boom, rogue confined to camp. Varecia will join if or when our ISP decides to release her from solitary confinement.
Also, by way of semi-advance notice, I'm getting shuttled back to England for three weeks from May 1st, where the team sessions will occur at some ungodly hour in the middle of the night, so I won't be able to join unless I happen to be suffering from insomnia.

Guys, I'm not going to make it tonight. I tried to roll my waking hours around over the weekend and I just didn't make it far enough. Must... sleep...
Wayne made some enhancements for Teamspeak. He, too, may or may not be there for tonight, though. He's got inlaws in town.
Anyway, good luck and um, Give em Hell. 8)

Once more into the breech, dear friends, once more,
Or close the wall up with our Roguish dead
Well, it isn't quite H5
Still, the troops shall rally!
I hope there's a lot of mud around the stairs...

Just wanted to give a heads up that I'm going to be late to tonights meeting (I should be on no later than 9, hopefully earlier).

Had enough free time this evening to put together the writeup for Hell Act One of Rogue Revival, so feel free to read through and correct any errors I might have made. Erick is also now listed on the roster in the Introduction page.

Seeing as this will be my last available week for a while, I'd like to suggest that if we can get the full team together we try and do River of Flame tonight, and Diablo on Thursday. Then you can all go back and clear any bits of Hell we missed, and start on the early parts of Act V while I'm cooling my heels in England.

As soon as I read Jaffa's post I was like "ah, he jinxed it!" Unfortunately, I'm afraid my attendence is going to be a bit spotty for a few weeks here, due to Real Life getting in the way of gaming time. I'm currently looking for a new apartment and possibly for a new job, among other things.
Anyway, I won't be making it tonight, but I'll make an effort to be there on Thursday if we're going after Diablo. I'd hate to try to clear the Chaos Sanctuary by myself. *shudder*
Erick.
edit: when I say Cy, I mean Jaffa. doh!

Well, we're getting near to the end of the 3-dot run. Personally, I would not mind doing some of these bits twice. If the 4-dot thing turns in to too much slog... Well, there's a possibility that we're nearing the end of our run. 8) Rather than try and contort our way through that, we can simply go back and redo the quest bits.
Godzilla, for instance. Who wouldn't want to take down the roaring fire lizard more than once? All the Rogues I ever played were quite happy to visit Hell over and over just to put Laz on the canvas multiple times and watch the big guy romping around waving his arms in the air.
Of course, in D1 if you had knockback, you could nail that bastard to the wall and then mop the floors with his corpse. No one kills Diablo easier than a fully decked Rogue.
So... since we won't have everybody there anyway, we might as well just play normally.

Well, we finally did it. Took us FIVE HOURS , but we cleared the City:
I think the highlight of the evening may have been when a single Stygian Hag minion single-handedly fought us to a standstill for a full 30 minutes. One minion! I for one will be happy if I never see another one of those pups again (fat chance).
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go collapse into bed.

Five hours. That's how long it took us to clear the City.
Some folks had to leave us for sleep reasons (What was it Charis always said about that? ) leaving Cy, Sulla, ME0003 and I to play true D1-style "Four Rogues in Hell" for the last two hours. Yes, at one point, we got pushed up one side, across the top and down half the other side before I called an emergency bail and we regrouped in the last un-lost area of the level.
Then we actually recovered. Woohoo! One for the books.
Did you know that a single vile mother can spawn over 60 pups in just five minutes? And that it only takes sixty pups to clog up what was a 3/4ths cleared level at one point? Well, now you know.
