I was enjoying myself while the turns were coming regularly.
But I'm fine with calling it a game and moving on.
my current score has nothing at all to with with this. Nope. Not a bit.

Cheers Thoth. Time to go spoil myself and see how which people had the land the map generator screwed me out of.

Thanks for hte game guys.
Seven, I really don't understand why you think 150 tiles per player is enough on a toroidal.
I had about 50 land tiles this game. The start was fine. Expansion room OTOH...something about a Zoolander meme and empire for ants would be appropriate.

I believe this was the original map, prior to any tweaks and the reroll: https://www.dropbox.com/s/t98sd8fwm6lmi6...wordWBSave
Let me know if that link works; I don't really know how to use Dropbox. Or any technology.

Um, sorry if I missed that, but I haven't received a save from the tracker in like two days.
Glad this is over though.

You really go screwed. I mean, the idea is to have each player have 150 land tiles, not some have 200 and one guy have just 50.
This did seem a LITTLE bit more cramped than I wanted, but not much. I played a couple games on a 40x40 map for 5 players, meaning over 200 land tiles per player, and for my taste the game stays in pure builder mode for way too long. Meanwhile those really tight toroid games that commodore is such a fan of are TOO close IMO. I thought 150ish land tiles would end up about right - maybe closer to 160 or 170 is what I really wanted though. But it's not that big of a difference, mainly you just got royally screwed.

Wasn't Sury one of the top three leaders? I don't think he should have been on the pics of this game.
Good game, everyone.

That I can buy. I think the issue is that if the aim is a a very tight limit on the variance on the number of tiles on the start, the map script needs a lot of tuning on that point, but then we discussed that a while ago. I suppose one issue is that the lower the variance, wanted, the more flexibility you need in distance between specific starts to give that land, rather than having such a large part of the start limiting the distance variance.

Ichabod, did you know you were blocking me from my horse and initiating a fight to the death when you settled up on me? Your reporting seems to have sadly stopped before then.
