I'm sorry I didn't press the point and ask for full lurker intervention, I'm new at this too and I'm not going to assume I know enough to ask a player to be removed.

I understand that I've been the one to benefit, but in the end I lose because the game is no longer fun to play. Strategy is fun, overturning the board and playing cleanup is not - it's a chore.

Played my turn. Whatever. Will continue to do so.

I was sleeping then I woke up and realized why all Russia's workers committed suicide. He has his workers on auto. Now I sleep again.

Halvgud offered peace and I will not accept. Starting after my last map post, at the beginning of the Long March South, I offered Russia peace every second turn in an attempt to convince Halvgud to defend his cities. He always refused. Tracking that stack has been a horrible waste of time. I kill it next turn and move on his capitol. He still has a stack out there somewhere - if he defends I'll keep the cap, else it burns.

I've been letting things slide, esp Tech. I'll try and get up a strategy post, more to get myself back on track than anything.

Results of the battle:

3 catapults and 1 axeman lost.

And that battle alone got me my second GG. First, just a turn before when WilliamLP wasted an axe to kill a chariot scout. First GG goes to Clingmans (naval base) to be settled. Second for super-medic to get my stack healed up quick and ready to take the rest of Sisu's land.

Screen Dump. Strategy post to follow, maybe tomorrow. BXB and Retep accepted peace with Russia and I've noticed a goodly amount of traffic in Halvgud's thread so after some thought, I also accepted peace. I don't think its to my advantage, but I assume Halvgud will stack his capitol and I will actually be able to take it fair and square.

Note that I am researching Music. I couldn't figure out why nobody had taken the artist - I think the players believe the artist I popped during the golden age was the music artist? In any case, Music is very much worth the risk for me - I can use it to launch a second golden age and blast in to the renaissance - so I'll see if I can grab it.

Well, Sisu gifted his suicide galley to Retep (background: Sisu whipped out galleys rather than defend his cities - the Colossus was defended by a galley - Civstats suggest he used the surviving galley to settle up on Retep who quickly burned the offending city) so I guess the idea is to spread the wealth? Probably shouldn't have accepted peace. Maybe he'll gift his stack to BXB?

WilliamLP is chasing music. Why now? Because I ignored tech all through the dark times, we'll get it the same turn, so coin flip I guess.

EDIT: now no doubt because he checked the tech tree and saw noone had researched the tech. I guess no others have gone for literature.
