ROME is going to have iron in the capital BFC?
![]() ![]() ![]() Korea is in for some fireworks :fireball:. Especially since I don't see any copper nearby, except for that one due north of New Rome, which is...uh...not a safe metal location with this new setup. With map knowledge, and since the crabs won't be accessible, LiPing could also put city #2 or 3 1N of the starting furs, and knock out 2 WBs to give the cap 3 food resources, with the 0/3/7 and 2/4/0 gold and iron mines. I wonder what people are going to be thinking when LiPing doesn't settle on THIS turn, either...
I hope she settles for the crab/horses site right next to Korea and goes full bore for it. I was slightly concerned at the Indians ability to grow and tech, but with a huge Rome standing in the way it should be awesome.
I like this though to certain extent. It makes for a real interesting early game - gotta feel sorry for Korea though... Beeline construction for those Hwatcha's - will it be in time though???
![]() Edit - there is an Iron due north of Korea - Would take a lot more investment but would give Axe releif!
Any evidence that LiPing knew the iron was there?
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Not that I can see. If the rice was 1N of where it was, then the obvious move would have been to settle 1N of her starting location, and netting a ton of forests for 0 turns lost, and I would be very suspicious. Her math on why the first move was worthwhile seems sound. Seeing the gold and deer, however, makes spending 1 more turn to go as far as she is going to makes a ton of sense. So, no, there's no evidence. However, I'd be highly suspicious if she doesn't have a settler out when IW comes in.
to be honest, after reading her thread, i really don't think there's any foul-play here. Sure she got lucky but it happens. She took a gamble and hit gold... literally.

Has anyone else noticed that the Byzantine team of Sunrise, Regorarr, and Darrell have named their capital Athens, and are right next to Jowy and Yaz's Greece, who also have a capital named Athens?
