T173:
WLP took a city of Kuro few turns ago, BXB is in war civics (Police State, Vassalage, Theo) and whipped a whole mess. WLP's border city is VERY lightly guarded. Moving my small knight force to Belvedere to force a reaction and/or whip. He can see my entire empire thanks to Hindy Holy City, so surprises will be pretty tough to pull on him.
Not settling fast enough.
Tech Plans:
It's pretty clear who's winning tech.
Generated a Great Engineer, enabling the 2 person GA. Saving gold this turn, Tail can start on Oxford next turn. Oxford would finish in 5 turns. Debating on whether to fire the GA now or save gold for 5 turns to run a 100% science GA. In either case, tech path will be Econ->Alpha->Drama to build overflow into Astro.
I'm not sure how this will time with a galleon attack on WLP, Knights or otherwise. Molach has enough troops to be difficult and I'm just not a fan of Medieval fights. The demos are ok and I still need to get into settling all these damn islands quicker.
Speaking of which, Demos:
Not too bad again, definitely makes me want to stay in builder mode and wait for Astro+.

But ... this feature was removed, wasn't it? Am I crazy?

Started GA, revolted to FM and Caste to help pop borders on the islands since I won't be whipping during the GA.
BXB decided to unleash the Phracten on Halvgud and immediately took two cities. He's also declared on Kuro to carve out a share before WLP eats him.
Suttree won't take OB with us despite the fact that he has OB with no one. He also has MilTrad and Gunpowder so I imagine that Oxy will soon face Cuirassers.
I will generate another GP, hopefully a GS, at the end of the GA. One-turning Alphabet and may be able to one-turn Astro next turn. We can already 1-turn PP, and PP would add about 35 commerce. I'm thinking that may be a better shot than astro for the instant commerce boost.
WLPs island and coastal cities are pretty lightly garrisoned.

You can't automatically see in, but it makes it a lot cheaper to do so via espionage.

Have enough overflow banked to 1-turn Astro right now. Going to go through Drama for another 100% of overflow and then PP into Astro. This seems to me with the huge amount of overflow I have built up that it would be worth delaying the 35 or so base coins I would get from PP for another turn in order to burn through another cheap tech to hopefully 1-turn PP and Astro. Marginal future benefit to future research on Philo.
Alpha reveals that a surprising amount of others have PP (WLP, Retep, Molach). Good for known tech bonus. After Astro,
Retep kicked off his next GA and he's around 1520 GNP, we are at ~1350 at 100% on Drama. BXB has a crazy amount of Phracts. I hope BXB pays an unfriendly visit to Retep.
Annoying Barb Galley spawned on the western most island, delaying workboat activity.

Sorry, what's the purpose of building up enough overflow to one turn everything exactly?

The goal isn't to one-turn techs for the stylistic sake of one-turning techs, but to have enough beakers to one-turn those techs as a result of multiplied overflow beakers. I run the overflow through another cheap tech in order to accumulate more beakers via the 1.2x multiplier I have for Drama. Drama costs ~447 beakers. Without checking in game, I don't recall if anyone actually has Drama, it's possible one other person has it, but I didn't figure that into a possible multiplier.
As I understand it, this is how overflow works applied to this situation. Roughly estimating, I have about ~2500 overflow beakers from the last two turns finishing Econ and Alpha. Combined with the ~1350 generated this turn, 447 goes to Drama, the remaining 900 is added to the 2500 overflow. So, the total overflow 3600 also gets my tech multiplier applied, which is 1.2. 3600 x 1.2 = 720. Total gain of ~270 beakers after cost of Drama without factoring in an opportunity cost or the coins lost from not going to PP directly.
This is probably fuzzy math because these are estimates, but that's my understanding of overflow mechanics and the potentially extra beakers you can gain by doing this. I used the research page on CivFanatics as I'm under the impression that is accurate. In retrospect, I probably should have teched Drama first as I have a bigger multiplier on Alphabet.
