oh hey, do you have walls in Lesson? Doesn't look like it. If not, DRY WHIP WALLS NOW. That would make a bigger impact than one more defender.
Edit: I see you already ended turn, and likely he won't let you finish walls, but just in case he waits one turn for the forces in Learning to catch up. You need to do it before he logs in tho, so it isn't a double move.

Logged in, got walls set up to finish in both cities next turn. Unless he goes ahead with the slaughter, which he may very well do.

Uh, Lesson has 60% culture and thus would not get any benefit from walls.

eh? If that's true then I have misunderstood them all this time... don't they add 50% to the exis- oh. well dang. Sorry Hal. My bad. Good thing those pops were dead anyway. :-(
Edit: So Noble taught me something (as happens often enough) Walls are just "50%" and not actually "PLUS 50%"
Which I should have known from recent history.

Ouch, I suspect my days are numbered. Just saw that my score has gone down a heavy bit.
287 from 354. Pretty sure that is my Lesson down the drain.

Xenu lost 2 catapults and 7 Cataphracts in taking Lesson. Unfortunately, I lost a GG that spawned there during the struggle. On the plus side, Suttree declared war on Xenu, razing Lesson. No surprise there. I suspect he has a Settler coming about soon. After getting DOW'd by Suttree, Xenu has asked for peace between us. I accepted it. TFR is moving east. Crossing fingers that peace lasts for 11 more turns with all my big and well-armed neighbours..

Kuro Count: Too high.
So, wait, BXB didn't actually take the city, Suttree did? Nice decision by him. Now The Byzantines are *definitely* going to lose the cost/benefit results of this war.
Keep whipping! Any hope for operation Noah's Ark?
