t25 - Hello Darkness my old friend
Been super quiet here. I guess my uninspiring last few turn reports probably haven't helped.
Firstly, nothing especially interesting in the scouting, cept that wolf there. Wolves aren't really scary for scouts, even ones at .9/1.0, they're really there to remind you to not have your civilian units unprotected. Nonetheless, a bad roll would suck.
Back home, the warrior completed and work started on another. This one will head to go cover the worker.
That's important because:
Not that I think he's coming, but he might send something to say hi, and there's no reason to encourage him.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

In other, mildly more interesting but ultimately less important news, I was tasked with coming up with a list of scandals with which to draw city names. Or more accurately, a list of scandals which could be turned into city names. So here's a list, I hope some lurkers will offer their favorites and/or offer suggestions:
XYZ Affair
Conway Cabal
Pickering
New Empire
Corrupt Bargain
Galphin Affair
Tenure of Office
Whiskey Ring
Credit Mobilier
Black Friday
Sanborn Contract
Salary Grab [The above 5 are all Grant. That's impressive in the pre-TV age.]
Newport Sex
Ohio Gang
Teapot Dome
Hollywood Ten
IRS Scandal
McCarthyism
Checkers Speech
Spiro Agnew
Watergate
Nixon Pardon
Koreagate
Debategate
HUD Scandal
Wedtech
Savings & Loan
Iran Contra
Inslaw Affair
Sewergate
Thomas Hearings
Monica Lewinsky
Whitewater
House Banking
Post Office
PRISM
Plame Affair
Blackwater
Lawyergate
Jack Abramoff
Iraq War or WMDs
Wiretaps
Fast and Furious
Benghazi
IRS & Tea Party
That's 40 or so scandals. The list obviously weights heavily towards the present because investigative journalism is much easier in the modern era and also because Reagan and W ruin everything. I skipped mostly anything from the past that I don't remember anything about, so if anyone is more US History inclined than I (I find US History kind of dull, comparitively) and has some suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Also interested if anyone has any suggestions on better names for some of those.

Those are probably enough, but the Newburgh and Burr Conspiracies comes to mind if you want earlier scandals.

See, first I thought you meant this...
...not what you actually meant, this:
The list of names looks good and I've updated our map knowledge in the sandbox.

Fog-gazing makes me think E-SE will let us go counterclockwise along the coast and be in a good position to scout further north sooner. If we survive the wolf.

Well, I'm not really convinced that that's a dead end. It could easily be a thin land bridge to another area. Gavagai's scout hasn't been seen and we haven't seen any damaged animals yet.

E-SE is my inclination as well, but only because I share Boldly's assumption.

t26 - Take that, wolf
Flawlessly, I might add. :flex: You'll notice everyone's favorite, hill sheep also. We debated which direction to go from here, I tend to favor moving along the coast and looping around, so we'll probably do S-E next turn, followed by NE-NW the turn after. Still time to argue incessantly about it though.
We grew to size 4 and the warrior moved to cover the worker. We're working both FP at the moment because the extra hammers from the PHF won't speed up the Settler that will follow this worker. Couldn't tell you the last time I did a Settler before a second Worker.
