I'm very down for a blitz session though, anything to avoid the 24-hours-to-move-a-scout turns.

PB idea sounds decent, can't hurt to ask right? Though we probably don't want to delay the start of the game more than necessary.

(Don't shoot the messenger but) has anyone thought about asking Caledorn if he could host this small game as a PB? That should help speed it up a little bit.

If you mean simultaneous pitboss, no way - being able to play sequential is a big advantage of having just 6 or fewer players. If you mean sequential, I don't think it's a real speed advantage over PBEMs and it means we lose the record of saves for every turn of the game which could be useful for getting some data. Plus we get delays due to server issues and having to reload occasionally which PBEMs don't face.
