I've had a blast playing some KSP, no pun intended. I suck at it, but I did unlock the whole science tree and manage to land and return on Dres, Duna and it's moon Ike. The learning curve is fierce though, and I didn't appreciate how to play at all until watching some of Scott Manley's videos.

Yeah, I've been enjoying the hell out of it. The game really shines with some mods, and I've been having fun recreating a realistic space program.

A friend brought over Sleeping Dogs, and that's been a ton of fun, even though I haven't progressed very far as of now.
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

Sleeping Dogs is awesome if you can appreciate the atmosphere.

I just picked up Banner Saga, it looks amazing form the trailers and reviews.

Tactical Viking RPG for the win.

It would be cool if you could write a few words after you had a chance to play...90% of the games look amazing to me when I only watch the trailer. lol

I bought this game a while back but haven't touched it since I learned you couldn't rebind the arrow keys. I HATE using WASD banghead

Well. It looks like a low FPS version of a old Disney movie. I have no idea how they got someone that good to do key frame in this day and age. Its pretty amazing by itself but the gameplay is pretty neat and simple. I'd recommend it.

You should be buying an Xbox 360 controller to play games like that, if you want the best experience.

I personally prefer edsf over wasd, when playing stuff that needs movement by keys ... ability to key stuff to qaz is sometimes quite nice when handling many keybinds
