I kind of agree with you, which is interesting because in 'actual' world language I'd consider alliance to be the much friendlier and more binding of the two.

Well ..... that was interesting. Is that an Italian stab of Austria, or are they going for the "Key" Lepanto, which involves Italy's army being supported into Serbia in the spring?

About the only thing I remember from playing this some years back was that as Turkey, you can't let Russia get the black sea. I guess we're about to find out why.

TT. If there is one truth in this game, it's that MJW is crazy.

I am frankly impressed with Scooter, it sounds as though he managed to threaten both Italy and Russia with giving his cores to the other, and that'll mean he gives them to neither!

I think MJW might be lying to scooter and still working with Rowain, but it's really difficult to follow his train of thought, even in his own thread.

Ok, true, my praise is premature. I'll have to wait and see what the Fall moves really look like before complimenting Scooter.
Wish there was more reporting, I've very little idea what's happening, period.

Was Scooter getting Ger to bounce Rus and therefore make Rus scared in the north the key play here? I read Scooter's thread first and though TT was obviously lying to him...and then saw that apparently TT is actually planning on honoring the deal.
Wacky stuff.
Also, Quote:I guarantee that the final two people in our theatre will be me and you as all he strategy articles say that a RI alliance is one of the strongest.
is %&$^ brilliant to use on MJW IMHO.

I think the "threat" to MJW was rather cheap and not very sophisticated. I would not even consider reacting to an obvious bluff like that (other than trying to kill Scooter extra quickly). If MJW really falls for that he is just naive.
I especially believe giving centers away for free in "retaliation" would be totally out of character for a player of Scooter's calibre.
