Adventure 42 - Joy to the World

It seems like we've had a game by that title before, but I can't find it! In any case, enjoy. bowbowbowbowbow

OK, this variant is going to take some thinking about.

Agreed, this should be an interesting one. Maybe I'll actually finish the game this time, with Winter Break upcoming.

Game mechanics questions:
1) First-religion spread: I know a connection to the holy city is necessary, but how likely is a spread on a given turn, assuming the connection exists?

2) Missionary failure rates: What exactly are the failure rates for spreading a religion to a city that already has 1-6 religions?

And T-Hawk finally gets his seven-headed Hydra. The Greatest Person

There's a Vocum on Religion Mechanics over at CFC.

Is there any bonus for connecting the most ''red nosed Rudolf's"?

Wow - first time in ages I am tempted to play...

I second Cyneheard: I might be able to finish this game! It looks interesting. I wonder if anyone will manage to get all 7 shrines. That could be fantastic . . . . Saladin's unique building also seems like a good fit for this scenario.

Aha, I was wondering what purpose Saladin would serve here. Spiritual is natural, but Protective is useless at Prince difficulty. And the famed Islamic leader of Arabia in a game themed for the Christian holiday season? huh But the Madrassa makes a perfect fit. (Library that allows two priest specialists.)

Ah...a game at my difficulty level just when I'm coming back into Civ4. I'll have to try this one out.

Probably won't win (on any level), but it should be a LOT of fun.
